“October 2011 visit”

Hotel excellent, staff really nice, nothing too much trouble. The first time we had visited this hotel and would recommend it - wish we had found it before. Lovely quiet position but only 10 mins from front - no music lovely pool area - a lovely relaxing holiday - ideal for couples who want a quiet holiday - not for the nightclub crowd.

“Fantastic! Can't wait to go back!”

Went for two weeks in august I can honestly say best place we have stayed in the seven years we have been coming to marmaris! The pool is nice and big very clean. The hotel is nice and quiet no banging music all night . They do have music playing by the pool in the day but not loud at all, just in the background. The manager and staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you . Our room was great with balcony overlooking the pool beds comfortable. The breakfast was served on the front veranda in the morning which was lovely! I do recommend for you to have an evening meal there as very reasonably priced and was scrumy, we wished we had ate there more times throughout the holiday. I fully recommend the ertur for couples and families alike can't wait to go back!

“Lovely and quiet Hotel Ertur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

My husband and I stayed at the Ertur for 9 days mid September. Pool area is lovely and plenty of suns beds. We have been to Marmaris 3 times and It was so nice to stay somewhere peaceful (no music) and not have music blaring from the bar all day until midnight and bar staff acting around and generally being a nuisance. The staff were polite and generally kept themselves to themselves which suited us.

We stayed on B & B basis and breakfast was basic but kept us going in the mornings and consisted of eggs, bread, salami, cheese, jam, honey and coffee. This was initially self service, but near the end of our holiday was plated up as only 7 residents at the hotel. We only had one snack at lunch time, omelette and salad with chips which was nice and reasonably priced. Beer was 5tl a little more than in most local bars. Two litre water was 2tl.

Rooms were clean and towels changed about 4 times during our stay and bedding changed 3 times. We had pool side room which was basic, but very clean with balcony.

We would definately stay at the Ertur Hotel again. It was 7/8 minutes walk to the beach and promenade. Twenty five minutes walk to the harbour. We found a good local bar 2/3 minutes walk away - go left out of the hotel and walk at the side of the canal and bar is on your right on corner of street with shop nextdoor. Owner was called Eric and I think the bar was called Turge (not sure of spelling). Lovely fresh food/snacks and lovely coffee.

Only negatives I would say is a kettle would be useful in the room and some of the sun beds need replacing as they are past their best and could not be adjusted due to being broken.

“Good if you want a quiet relaxing holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Stayed at the hotel in end of August. Clean hotel in good location, 5 mins to the beach.
We only stayed at the pool a couple of times during our stay as we like to go to the beach or out walking. Very quiet at the hotel, no entertainment or even background music. We prefer some entertainment so will not return. Only ate once at the hotel at lunchtime. Just a toastie, not the best (cheese not melted ) just placed on plate in a blue plastic serviette. Can't comment on other meals but reviews state food very good. The manager was friendly but other staff didn't seem to speak much english and a couple of times when saying hello got little response. Maybe because we didn't stay at the hotel we didn't get to know the staff very well. A previous review stated that the towels and bed linen were changed daily. We were told it was every three days. I thought two days was acceptable for towels but three was a bit much. I wonder again if this was because we weren't spending money at the hotel? If you want a quiet relaxing holiday, this is for you.

“Great Value still”

We have stayed here again and have posted a good revue before but there have been improvements made this year (we stayed July 2011) particularly at the entrance where the marble tiles and comfortable furniture make it a great place to enjoy the evening in a gentle cool breeze. Everything else has been said in previous reviews. You will find it impossible to get better all-round value .

Room Tip: Almost all rooms are pool view,
