We went back to this hotel in October 11 as we enjoyed our stay in 2009. This time it had changed a little, our main reason for returning was the wonderful walk to the beach and the jetty, my husband came armed with his fishing rod!!! to find out the jetty was now a lounge area. he was not happy, we must have picked the worse week of the year it rained most of the time and we had bad storms too. This resort is out in the middle of nowhere so if you want shopping its not for you. we liked the fact it was out of the way and very rural. I would still recommend this hotel as we found the staff very helpful and accommodating it was just bad luck for us because of the weather.

“Pleasant and average”

Had read several of the reviews before going with my daughter and 2 grandchildren. The first time to Turkey, so not sure what to expect. It was nearly at the end of the season, but this was not reflected in the service or availability of food drink etc. the rooms were adequate, but not sure why they do not use 2 sheets on the bed , is this a Turkisk thing? We were provided with one cotton sheet and a top cover. As it was October it was cold at night and we resorted to helping ourselves to the laundry cupboard on the landing to get additional sheets and made the bed daily
As they were left folded by the maid, which must be a local thing?

We had a problem with the WC leaking fresh water when flushed, but despite several visits to reception, this was lost in translation, so we gave up in the end and used the toilet brush holder to catch the water.

The location was fine albeit a little secluded and the beach was a short walk away and was served by a buffet lunch and drinks bar, which was good.the beach was shingle and pebbles, but sunbeds and had lovely views.
There is the local dolmas running frequently so travelling into local Fethiye or local areas is not. Problem.
There was plenty of entertainment for the kids and the team were all friendly and enthusiastic. Despite previous reviews most of the people there were English, must have been the end of season?
The nighttime entertainment was all outside in the amphitheatre and it was cold and dark, and not knowing this beforehand we were not prepared clothing wise, so had to buy warm clothing.
The pool area is a danger zone as constantly wet tiles were slippery and several people fell. The steps to the pool area toilets are under the waterslide so constantly wet and a hazard. At night they are not lit very well, neither is the complex so care is needed when walking around. In the block where we stayed the lights were on a timer and activated by movement, but had switched off before you had got to the top of the stairs so you had to be quick getting to the second floor.
Despite this we had a relaxing week and the food was average, drinks were plentiful and the kids enjoyed themselves as the weather was hot apart from one day.
We did not pay top wack for the holiday, so we're not too bothered about the glitches, but would be disappointed if we had paid top dollar.

“lykia botanika... "our little piece of heaven"”

wow where can i start. My family and i have been going to this hotel for 3 years now and we have never had any problems. Rooms are basic but still do the jobs as maids come in nearly everyday. All hotel staff are very friendly and cant do enough to help and make your stay more enjoyable. Food is very nice and has a wide range to suit everyone including cereals in the morning, jams for diabetees, and a diet area. Waiters are extremely friendly, quite professional and they always ask us when will we go back to see them. Its about a 5/10 minute walk to the beach with lovely scenary on the way. There is a bar there where hot food is available at around 12:30 for lunch time. Again it is basic but it does the job nicely. sunbeds and matresses are always available for use. There is also a watersports center available at an extra cost, but all staff are friendly and helpful. There is a miniclub for children in the day time where they can do various activies with the entertainment team. There are lots of activites in the day time - you just have to ask what they are! At night there is an ampetheatre where the entertainment takes place - it starts off for children then swaps to adults. After the entertainment finishes there is a disco down at the beach where drink are still available untill 12:00am. The hotel in general is quite clean especially the restaurant... as we have watched them clean it every morning, afternoon and nightime. ( after every service) . so i dont understand when people say they have come home with illnesses - as we have never had any problem with this hotel in the 3 years we have stayed. Wheelchairs are also available at no extra cost from reception on request - we have also used this when we travels with my elderly grandmother. there is plenty of disabled acess all around the hotel.I personally reccomend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday on the beach or around a swimming pool.

Room Tip: if you would like a higher standard of room dont choose promotional rooms as they are just basic roo...

“It was BAD”

We spent the half term week in this resort and found it to be very run down!
We arrived in the night and was shown to our room which was cold and dark and damp. We had a family room with a double bed and bunks beds with no blankets untill we asked (being October you would think they would be standard). There was an aircon unit but only blew out cold air it did have a button for hot which didn't work and when asking if it could be sorted told no they only blow cold. Funny because on the last night speaking to others they had hot air. The bathroom was also dated and the shower leaked so any it was a good job the towles got changed daily as we had to use them a a mop!!! Looking back we should have kicked up more of a fuss we could have been changed rooms.. The balconly was at the back and covered by solar panels so it was to cold to sit on.

The swimming pool was ok but very cold the kids went in but we all ended up with a cold, the sunbeds were not very nice but all clean.
The Beach was again ok but run down and not very claen..

Now for the food... If it wasn't for all the cats trying to get hold of your food and even jumping on the buffet carts YES yum yum not.. It would have been not to bad. they could have gave more info on what it was but as it was the last week i think they had all just had enough.. The drinks were not bad but you could not get a glass for love nor money and at one point there was only 25 people in the resort so would hate to think what july and aug would be like

The one good thing about the place was the entertainment team they all tried there very best all the time and with 2 young kids that was a plus.

I would never go back or recomend to anyone to do so..

Room Tip: Don't take the first rooom

“Enjoyable Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

I,along with my friend stayed here in October. The room we were given {401} was damp and had a musty smell. We went to reception and told to come back the following morning. We were given a key to look at another room in a refubished part of the complex. We gladly accepted it as it was much nicer and modern and didnt smell musty. The location of the hotel is a bit off the beaton track which was the reason we chose it..There are Dolmuses running from the hotel every 10 minutes to Fetheye. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens, only a short walk to the beach. The walk to the beach is lovely along side a river where wildlife can be heard in the reeds. The food was very tasty, lots of choice, beautiful salads, chichen fish, pasta, also chips burgers, something for everybody realy. The deserts were also very nice. The resteraunt was very nice with crisp tablecloths which were constantly being changed. It would have been nice to have an indoor lounge were people could socialise in the cold evenings and when it rains as everything is outside. We had a day of rain and intended using the gym. Most of the equipment was broken. We ended up going for a turkish bath and massage, and facial for £25 some of it was supposed to be free but somehow i think we ended up paying for all of it.Anyway it was very pleasant and we felt better after it.Our rooms were at the back of the resteraunt where the kitchen is and passed it regulary.
We didnt scrutinise it but we did look in as we walked past. We,didnt see anything untoward, nothing to put us off eating or drinking there as one review said. Two weeks on i have had no ill effects and neither has my friend. We had a lovely holiday and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: If you are not happy with your room complain.
