“You Get What You Pay For”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011 via mobile

With this hotel you get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful.
The rooms are basic, we had an apartment with fridge kettle and cooker. They are dated but you don't go to look at the wall paper, it's somewhere to rest your head. The maid cleaned out room every day. All the staff we fab, I drink cider and because they had none one of he staff went searching all of the shops for some. I can't fault them. I never had food at the hotel as it was cheaper to eat out so I can't comment on that. The location was good, close to everything you needed, I can imagine it being very noisey in the peak summer period.
I would not go to the resort end of season again, clothes ect were even cheaper than usual but it was like a ghost town and freezing on a night time. The locals did say that it had never been that cold before. Daytime the weather was warm enough to catch a tan.
One last thing, we went to Talk Of The Town, it was FANTASTIC! If you haven't been ou should go.

“£51 for apartment for 1 week for 3 people, cheap and cheerful!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

As the title says we only paid £51 for a weeks stay for 3 people via low cost holidays.com, the apartment had self catering facilities and it was extremely basic.
For the price we paid I expected it to be awful, dirty, everything broken, etc etc......I was extremely surprised to find this was not the case at all!!
Everything worked fine, the apartment was cleaned every single day, including mopping all the floors and the towels were also changed, the cleaner even done our washing up on 1 of the days as we had left a few plates in the sink!
The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help you in any way possible.
There was someone on reception 24hrs and they were always saying hello and asking how you were and what you had been upto.
I honestly cant fault the hotel at all, based on the price we paid, cheap and cheerful, close to all the shops and pubs and restaurants.
If you want 5 star then pay for 5 star, if you want good value for money in the heart of the action just off of the main strip and are on a budget then I would highly reccommend the Carmina!!

Room Tip: We went end of season so it was quiet at the hotel and also the resort was also quieter than normal...

“We had a great time.”

Just back from 3 weeks at the Carmina. Rooms are basic but beds and towels changed every day and are very clean. The cleaning staff were brillant. If you required any thing you only had to ask, even to change rooms. The self catering rooms are best if you require a fridge , kettle , etc. but cost slightly more. These are all upstairs though, so may not suit everyone. This is one of the cheapest Hotels in Hisaronu so you wouldn't expect the Ritz. The money you save goes along way in Turkey..
The staff were all very entertaining , a water pistol here and their and a few thrown in the poll as well as some ' silent movie ' type routines. They were very good with older guests too , carrying things around for them. One lady had hurt her arm and the waiters would ensure her meals were all cut up for her and were always around to open bottles , etc. The only member of staff we were not keen on was the night receptionist who was always after money, even trying to charge people for a sticking plaster, saying he was a paramedic. Needless to say he got nothing off us,
When we were their we were lucky to have a good crowd, with everyone willing to have a chat.. Over half the guest at the hotel were repeat visitors and we are now amongst them, having booked again for next year.
