Stayed august 2011 , travelled with family. Hotel in great spot, with lovely views. On arrival our rooms were not what we booked and we ended up in the old side of the hotel, but this ended up to be a blessing in disguise as the pool in mendos 2 was only used by us most days so it felt like we were in our own villa!! Hotel was very clean and friendly staff. Calis is a lovely resort with beautiful sunsets but definitely caters more for eastern Europeans. Overall we enjoyed our holiday but probably wouldn't stay in calis again.....

We stayed at The Mendos 4th - 18th July 11 front sea view room excellent , air con included. Clean , bright , nice roof top terrace sunset views beautifull. Staff helpfull and friendly Pool clean could do with more sun beds !! People leave towels on them and dont appear till late afternoon my pet hate. Seems to cater more for East Europeans rather than Brits . However would go back again only on B&B basis as theres so many lovely restaurants to pick from on prom. Good family resort !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautifully situated almost right on the beach, spotlessly clean surroundings and maid service second to none.
This is our 9th visit but will be our last.
The queues for the evening buffet are now reminsent of school meals and the manners of many guests leave a lot to be desired, elbows and pushing spring to mind. You have to be fast on your feet to get in the queue- it is like a sprint on sports day. The food is repetative and recycling of breakfast items sat out for two hours in the morning in the heat and flies- appearing in salads in the evening is a little alarming.
The staff are on the whole polite and friendly and we have made friends there over the years but keep a sharp eye out for your young daughters as English girls can be seen as easy pickings by some and the management do not opt for the policy that the customer is always right! Often the case when nepatism and family are employed.

This hotel is very nice,small rooms though.food was nice.amazing location,lift which has a view of the swimming pool,go now!!!!!
