Hotel is set a couple of streets back from the main road, so no noise from traffic, back streets a bit stony so leave the high heels at home. Few minutes walk from start of shops and restaurants, and five minutes to the beach and water taxi. Dolmus and water taxi to Fethyie run regularly, and cheap to travel.
We were welcomed by owners eldest son, don't see why reviewer saw this as a problem, it is a family run business and everyone gets involved, and works very hard. He helped us with our luggage and was really polite and friendly. As per previous comment, when we arrived our room was not ready, so taken to a room to relax and have some water, and our son changed and got into the pool straight away. Owners and staff came to welcome us and introduce themselves. Cannot understand some previous comments on owners being unfriendly. This was our first time here, and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone from the moment we arrived.
Air con £4 per day, safe £1 per day payable in sterling. Everything else payable in Lira. Note the hotel does not take credit cards. Apartment spacious, enough plates, cups, cutlery etc., to suit our needs as we eat out everynight. Balcony at front overlooking pool, and at back overlooking small garden area. Apartment very clean, a little worn in places, nothing major, so there was a chip in the shower, it is no big deal. Sheets and towels changed twice weekly, apartment cleaned twice weekly. Rubbish can be taken down to the dustbins at the bottom of stairwell if it bothers people not being done every day.
Pool was cleaned daily, and areas around the pool cleaned twice a day, yes can be a bit slippery at times, as are most pool areas, and be careful on entrance slope, it is that simple. If if wasn't washed down people would be moaning it was dirty.
Had a couple of lunches in the bar, and once to the BBQ, good selection of food & drink, basic but good, and reasonable prices on a par with restaurants. Big bottles of water can be purchased, yes a bit more expensive than at the supermarket, but for the sake of a few pence, or so, it was easier to purchase there than lugging back huge bottles from the shop in the sweltering heat.
There was always a member of the family or staff around to help with anything. Trips can be booked from here, and lots of advice on places to visit, or info relating to travel etc. you only have to ask.
Only disappointment was the Turkish night did not happen.
Overall, loved the hotel and our apartment, and the location. Everyone friendly, hotel basic but very clean and comfortable. Would recommend and would go back.
