“The place to stay if you visit Fethiye”

I stayed in YILDIRIM PENSION for 3 nights and I was travelling with a friend. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing at this hostel, we couldn't ask for more. The location is near the harbour and the city center, the rooms were clean and also the beds, friendly atmosphere and good prices.
If I go back to Fethiye, I will be visiting the same hostel for sure.

“Brilliant accommodation in Fethiye!”

My partner and I stayed at Yildirim guesthouse in September and really enjoyed it. Rooms are spacious and clean at an affordable rate. Also, great location in the centre of Fethiye.
Omer and his staff always go above and beyond to make sure you have a good time and go away with a truly memorable experience of his guesthouse. I happened to be ill during my staying and Omer ensured I had all the care I needed to get better.
I cannot praise enough Omer's friendliness and generosity so I would highly recommend this place if you happen to be in Fethiye.

Room Tip: Our room was in the front part facing the road and it was pretty hot so I am not sure whether rooms...

“Suited us just perfectly!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

We stayed at Yildirim in July - the accom. suited us perfectly - we were 3 females with backpacks looking for a budget, but clean room. Rooms were basic, but spacious, clean & comfortable - our beds were fine - the bathroom was large in comparison to most places we stayed in over 5 wks. It DID have a shower hose without a shower cubicle, but to be honest, I loved that - it was a new experience & each new experience is what traveling is about. The hot water was temperamental, but again, it wasn't something important to us!
What IS important to us is the cleanliness - yes it was clean ... the safety - felt very safe, Omer was always at reception ..... AND the atmosphere - Omer (the manager) was fabulous .. he booked our bus to Pamukkale, gave us info on the locals' bus to Olundeniz, & was genuinely interested in helping everyone!
If you're a budget traveler, a single traveler or just looking for a bed in a friendly guestroom, you won't be sorry. I loved sitting around the breakfast area hearing about everyone's plans for the day (or week or year!!) - you will meet all ages & nationalities and everyone has an amazing adventure to tell.
There is a fridge with water, soft drinks ... & beer (I think) - it works on an honesty system. There is also internet avail for a small fee.
It is very close to the harbour and about 10 - 15 mins into town ... We also walked to the Rock Tombs - it was a workout in the middle of the day, in 40 degrees, but we enjoyed ourselves!
For those looking for accom similiar to a hostel, this place is great! I would definately stay here again.
Thank you Omer for your kindness (& also for carrrying my heavy backpack to the roadside - haha) ... We Loved Fethiye ... & they have the BEST Turkish Delight in ALL of Turkey!! (we wish we had bought more, rather than wait to buy it in Istanbul)

The staff at Yildirim were great in helping us arrange transport and allowing us to leave luggage there whist on a cruise. Nothing was a hassle for them.

“Good for the price, and Omer was great - beds were not so great!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

We stayed here in the beginning of July for 5 nights and I remember reading someone's review about how the beds were brand new. We must have "lucked" out and still had some old ones. This was the last place we stayed in Turkey and, by far, the saggiest, springy, most uncomfortable beds we slept in on the trip. We had a room on the first floor and our friend was across the hall - his bed was even worse than ours.

The shower was not the greatest as the water would come out scorching hot and switch to ice cold so it was hard to actually stand under it without getting scorched. As noted by others, the shower just comes out over the shower and sink with no separator, so be prepared to sit on a wet toilet! There is also no cleaning service, which is somewhat expected from a budget place, but after 5 days it would have been nice for a fresh towel.

With all that said, we understand that the price is much lower than most of all the other places in Fethiye (but I do think that the other rooms must have been a bit better in terms of beds!). The positive was Omer, who was more than helpful before our trip (helping to organize ferries, etc..) and during our stay when he booked us onto various tours. He is there at 8am when you get up and there at midnight when you go to sleep - always ready to help you with whatever your needs are. The breakfast was great, but that may be because I was addicted to the cheese rolls (BEST cheese rolls I tasted in turkey). He also offered us free watermelon when we were sitting around one day making our plans. He really is what makes this place.

The location is also pretty good - a 15 minute walk from the centre, but a nice walk along the waterfront mostly and most of the pensions seem to be around this area. If you book day excursions they will pick you up from the pension.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a new bed!
