I stayed here for my gate 1 tour...let's just say this was NOT the worse hotel. The food was good and served very nicely (at least in comparison to the other places). The malls right across the street :-) in comparison to the last hotel we were at it's very much an upgrade! The pam hotel had the nastiest carpet, they had chickens outside the hotel...seriously that place was disgusting!!!!

We stayed as part of a Gate 1 tour. This was not only the worst hotel of the trip, it was the worst hotel we ever stayed in! The carpeting was filthy; the ceiling was stained from black soot from the vents; the room smelled awful; the sheets were stained; the tub leaked on to the floor during showering; shampoo bottles were greasy; and this was not the worst part. Six people on our tour were very sick hours after eating dinner at the hotel's provided buffet. My husband was ill and feverish for two days; others took even longer to recover. If you must stay here as part of a tour, take my advice and eat outside of the hotel.

The best aspect of this hotel is that it's near a modern shopping mall in the center of Konya. The hotel itself is dated, with soiled carpeting and uncomfortable beds. Wireless only works in the lobby. Restaurant food is of poor quality...we ate at a nearby restaurant after seeing what was offered on the buffet. Since we were only in Konya for one night, this hotel was adequate, though I can't recommend it for a longer stay.

The hotel is nothing special, quite dated and just plain. The staff were courteous and helpful and various food, shopping and sightseeing amenities are nearby. The home of the Whirling Dervishes sect is located here and worth a visit. The city is modern and mostly new, sprawling as any north american city.
