The hotel is nice. The guest rooms are nicely decorated- the only problem was that the door locks have key cards which beep very loudly when people are entering rooms near you. People would come in at all hours of the night and I could always hear the beeping. Very annoying.
The staff was occasionally helpful. The night before I left someone claiming they were from the Front Desk called our room at 1am and asked if we were enjoying our stay... it was very strange and made us very uncomfortable. The Front Desk people do not speak English, even though they claim to. The one great thing about this hotel- our trip to Ephesus through a tourism agency was cancelled, but our hotel set up our own private tour for the next day, which was even cheaper and more intimate than the other one we had scheduled. Our tour guide was a Professor at the local university and was so knowledgeable about Ephesus.
The food at the breakfast buffet was just ok.
The spa downstairs was very relaxing. We treated ourselves to a hammam and massage- very nice. The facility could have been a bit cleaner, but it was a neat experience.
Just a warning- outside of Ephesus, there is hardly anything to do in Izmir. We stayed there for three days, in my opinion it was too many.
Internet was not good.
