This is a new hotel or B&B that has just started business in the summer season of 2007. It is about a 10 min leisurely walk from the historic village of Alacat.
We were a party of eight and took four rooms in this hotel. Our Turkish friends made the bookings for us and we trusted them totally and this trust was not misplaced.
The hotel is run by two ladies who already operate a very successful restaurant in Cesme. So needless to say the food was amazing. Only breakfast is provided but you could order food throughout the day from the menu.
Breakfast can last the whole morning and you can continue ordering whatever strikes your fancy - fresh clotted cream with honey, homemade jams, eggs anyway you like, freshly squeezed juices. Unending cups of tea or coffee - Turkish or western.
The rooms were large and comes with bath robes in traditional Turkish cotton. Each room has its own character so we were comparing who got the better room. It was a tough choice. The bathrooms were quaint. Our only complaint was the shower compartments. They were prefabbed and you could hardly move in them.
This hotel has no pool and no television but is wireless in the living room. There is a lovely garden with a resident dog - Doctor. Doctor was a stray that decided to stay during the construction of the hotel and he is now a member of the family.
What was most amazing was the smell of freshly baked cakes and cookies that continuously waft out of the kitchen. There is a long table at the corner and we can help ourselves to freshly baked cookies, both sweet and savory, throughout the day. There was even an amazing apple pie when we were there.
I was glad to leave only because I was terrified I wouldn't fit through the door of the van.
