Kirevi was my first attempt at staying in Alacati. I've always stayed in nearby beaches up until now. Alacati is growing in popularity but still remains much more quiet than the normal seaside resorts of Turkey. A hidden gem for me. I've always liked the people and the places around here, and I was not dissapointed.
However, you need to have a car and should be able to drive to make the most of Alacati and the surrounding beaches.
The hotel is a B&B with a difference, a very intimate; nice little hotel run by 2 college friends. The hospitality is fantastic, the rooms nice and clean, the breakfast is setup and cooked for your taste. If you wish, there is a set menu of great local food every day; should you wish to eat in the hotel.
Our room was comfortable with air-con. Daily cleaning. Shower, no bath. Clean towels, nice touches in the room (levander pouches, decoration is nice and local).
The hotel doesn't have a pool, unlike some similar hotels in Alacati and for me it is not a must at all. 8 rooms in total, it is an intimate place; it is much different from your normal hotel experience. Some people might find it a little too cozy as all the common areas are shared by all hotel guests and if the hotel is full, it might get a little too crowded. Therefore an early breakfast is recommended. As Kir Evi is very popular in the area, sometimes guests come from around to have breakfast only.
The hotel is about 5 mins walk from the popular high street of Alacati. With its vibrant night life, an incredible range of restaurants (anything from Thai to Tapas) and a night arts and crafts market it is a nice place to visit.
Alacati/Cesme is also known for its beautiful sandy beaches. My favourite is Ilica, north of Alacati, about 15-12 mins drive. There is a public beach, but if you wish a full service and don't mind paying; a 5-start Sheraton Hotel beach and the newly opened Lemon Beach is available with full services.
Seaside, Altinkum, Aya Yorgi are other beaches with facilities, all in driving distance. The roads are relatively easy to drive but sat-navigation is recommended as the sign-posting is not very good in this particular part of Turkey.
