“Don't be put off by the bland look of the place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

We've just returned from a week at this hotel and have to say that everything was spot on. Admitted, it look uninspiring from the outside, but please don't be put off by this. It is spotless inside, and very pleasing to the eye. We were all inclusive and the food in the buffet restaurant was spot on. There is also a snack bar down a couple of steps overlooking the beach and the sea, where they continue to serve snacks until just prior to serving afternoon coffee and cakes.

Down a few steps more and you're on the beach. Pebble free sand, the sea weed which is washed up daily (it is a very windy resort) is cleared also daily and removed.

There is a dolmus - a random jump on bus service - which stops outside the hotel and took is one direction into Cesme - a delightful place to wander around to shop or stop and have a drink and generally look over the marina, and another direction to other beaches.

We visited Altinkum Beach and the water was unbelievably clear and the snorkelling again was delightful. The temperature of the sea was lovely.

The waiting staff were faultless, very attentive and nothing got overlooked.

The only downside - single beds!

A great holiday all in all. Didn't want to come home!

“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

I have just returned from the holiday in Turkey, Ciftlikoy. We stayed in the Babaylon hotel for 2 weeks. The location of the hotel is wonderful, the views so picturesque - it's a paradise. You can spend your day either by the pool or by the beach. Additionally, there is a great number of very attractives places in the viccinity - great little towns, villages and brilliant beaches !!! The room was very cosy and kept clean every day. Because of the specific location of the hotel all the rooms have a view of the sea - you fall asleep to the sounds of the sea, it's lovely. The food is really good - a great variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, starters, main dishes, desserts. Lots of fish and seafood. The only drawback was the number of hotel guests - there was a pretty crowd of them. But it only proves the quality of the place. I travelled with young children - they loved everything there - the pool, the beach, the playground, the mini disco in the evening, the food. I couldn't leave them in the mini club though - but it was due to the fact they don't know English yet.

“Babaylon OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2009

Good things: Food is very good (as usual in Turkey), all the area close to the sea (beach, cafe'/restaurant) is excellent, pool area is ok (even if I find quite masochistic to use a pool when you are at 30 meters from Aegean Sea), restaurant is ok, guests are usually very polite (as usual in Turkey). What is astonishing is how the hotel is quiet even when it is full. Ideal for those who looks for relax and good turkish food. Furthermore, Cesme and his surroundins are really beautiful. Highly recommended.
Bad things: all the rooms and bathrooms need renovation (just those on the first floor are ok). The place is a bit windy, but not always and not so much. Depending on that, not always sea is calm. No free internet connection. Some crazy people in front of the east side of the hotel (opposite to the beach) sometimes put music in high volume. But just few hours a day. You will not notice that so much.
Just a mistery: after breakfast almost all the guests disappear. Where do they go? Anyway no problem, around 6 pm they are all back.

“Four Star Hotel wıth three Star servıces”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2009

Expected more from a four star hotel. Staff ıs very good and so ıs the locatıon. However, I was dısappoınted wıth the room (needs renovatıon), bathroom smells bad. The food was 90 percent the same everyday. I expected more fısh for a seasıde resort, but saw fısh only once or twıce a week. The beach ıs only 50 meters away and there ıs a bus that can take you to Cesme for about one Euro.
