Before travelling to Turkey, I had been checking reviews of different hotels in Pamukkale and couldn't find anything suitable. At the end, the day before arriving, I just checked the Lonely Planet again and decided to go to this hotel.
Yes, it's very close to the travertines, it's very cheap and the heating was on the whole night. But the disadvantages are far greater.
Somehow the reception staff already knew I wanted a dorm, which meant to them I wasn't going to spend much money. So they didn't bother to ask me about my travel plans in Turkey as they had done with the previous guests. They didn't explain much about the hotel, either. So, staff not nice.
The dorm was in fact a four-bed room. Two of the beds had clearly been used recently, as they were not done. There were also used towels over all beds, empty water bottles, bus tickets, etc. But the bathroom was even worst: towels, soap and mud on the floor and in the shower and a full waste-bin. Luckily there was toilet paper. I didn't bother to inform them about that. I just made a small floor cleaning with the towels, took one of the clean beds and used my own towel and soap. For one night it was enough.
The breakfast was very poor. The only good thing was the pita bread everyone got from two ladies who were baking it right in the bar.
