“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

The hotel is wonderful! It's located in Urgup that I personally liked more than Goreme which is more touristy ( more commercial and noisy )
The staff is very helpful, especially Suleyman who was always ready to help ın any way and made our stay in the hotel so comfortable and pleasant.
The day before our arrival, we contacted the Hotel asking about airport transfer and tours options and they answered very quickly. Since we had one day and a half in Cappadocia, we took a private tour the first day - which I highly recommend- and next day a group tour. Balloon ride is a must!
The hotel is set in a cave surrounded by a lovely garden and courtyard terrace. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and quiet.
The restaurant serves delicious local dishes and the staff is amazing.
I highly recommend this Hotel!

“Unusual and spacious”

We spent 4 nights at the hotel as part of a tour of Turkey and were very impressed with the staff and the location. The room was huge with a large ensuite bathroom and plenty of space to put clothes etc. We had expected no windows but had two large cutained ones and a high 'porthole' which unfortunately let a lot of light in. We asked if something could be done about covering it and when we came back from atrip the follwing day it had been expertly covered in wrapping paper. The breakfasts were fine (apart from the usual bright orange squash) but the 'help yourself' was a little crowded with a coachload of orientals all trying to use the one toaster at the same time! We were grateful to the reception staff for helping us arrange balloon flights (a holiday MUST)as there was no holiday rep to ask. The only drawback to this lovely hotel is the disco in the building next door (not the hotel's fault) which went on until 3.30 am, we'd just get to sleep and there was the local call to prayer at 6 or packs of dogs barking on the road! The bed was huge and very comfortable -it's a pity we couldn't fully appreciate it!

Room Tip: We had been upgraded and the rooms were very good -standard rooms were approached by flights of stai...

“Pure Heaven”

The Alfina is one of the most pleasant hotels that I have stayed in worldwide. It was peaceful and spotlessly clean with a well kept garden and patio areas.

This hotel was cool in the heat of the day but without air- conditioning, as it was carved into the hillside. Our room was very spacious (very large by Turkish standards) as was the bathroom which contained a bath, shower and jacuzzi.

The food served in the restaurant was of a high standard with a good choice.

The staff were excellent being most helpful and attentive nothing was too much trouble for them.

I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Do an early morning Balloon flight.

“Excellent base for your visit to Cappadocia”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights during our trip through Turkey. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. We especially liked the restaurant which was in a cellar and the food was good. Our room was cut into the rock and had heaps of character with a view across the valley. There extra rooms and a swimming pool being added to the hotel. This was an excellent base for our time in Cappadocia.
