We stayed at the Unak Evleri Hotel, room 107, from January 3-4, 2012. We were greeted warmly by the staff with an offer of tea or Turkish coffee, given a tour of the facilities and then we were shown our room, with a private balcony, Our room was good sized, clean and offered magnificent views from the balcony and windows. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. The staff was warm and accommodating. The only problem we experienced - which was very irritating, was our shower - first, the shower head could use replacement as it was difficult adjusting it. However, the biggest issue was that on our last morning, there was only lukewarm water. We needed to leave very early and called the front desk with an urgent request for remediation. A repair person very graciously checked the bathroom and cheerfully pronounced the problem fixed - but it was not fixed. Apparently, the hotel had turned off the hot water in three unused rooms - as it was very off season - but unknowingly also shut off the hot water to our room - needless to say, having to take a shower in lukewarm water in the dead of winter in Cappadoccia was not a good experience. I reported this to the reception desk upon our departure hoping that this will not situation will not arise for any future guests. Overall, I would recommend this lovely hotel.
