“Once in a lifetime experience”

My daughter, grandson & I were so happy we chose to stay is this beautiful cave hotel - how often will you get to sleep in a room carved into the side of a cave? - very clean, comfortable beds, separate patios with stunning views of the area. Outdoor dining room at the hotel where they served local cuisine or just a short walk to other restaurants. Front desk staff were so helpful & knowledgeable - one nice young man at the front desk even called at the last minute for another hot air balloon company to come & pick us up when our's didn't show - without him we would of missed our hot air balloon ride which was the highlight of our trip. All front desk staff spoke english & were very friendly - would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: Any room would be good as they all have an excellent view

“Service average for interesting location”

Great idea: Experience a cave home with modern amenities. Beds firm, room & bath clean, electricity somewhat precarious [table lamp fell off/broke from very uneven shelf where it was placed, not by us]. We liked the various levels, private patio and views are stunning. Never saw any staff except one man at breakfast who brought coffee when asked. We had the feeling it is not run by any people who have a stake in the enterprise - unlike other small hotels in Turkey where a friendly welcome and help was always evident.

Room Tip: Top rooms good views but the outside stairs can be uneven and narrow. That's cave dwelling for...

“Stunning”

We had four nights here in a beautiful room with a stunning view. The night we arrived after driving for four hours was cold so it was a delight to be show into a warm and spacious room. Comfortable bed with lovely linen and the room kept very clean. We loved the reading space carved into one side of the room. Staff were endlessly helpful and friendly(especially in organising our balloon flight when it was cancelled because of bad weather) , the breakfast great and the set dinner good value.

“Unique, wonderful atmosphere”

I stayed at Elkep Evi for two nights while touring Cappadocia, and highly recommend it. The hotel sits high on a hillside, so the views are amazing. My cave room was charming and very clean, with beautiful Turkish village rugs on the floor, and an arched stone ceiling overhead. Each room is set apart from the others, providing great privacy. I had a private terrace of my own outside my door, with great views of hot air balloons rising over the valley each morning.

The buffet breakfast was excellent, with extensive variety and eggs cooked to order. One additional note: some rooms are accessible by stairs only -- don't expect an elevator!

It is a must to stay in a cave hotel when you are in Cappadocia. Great rooms with a beautiful courtyard and individual patios. The breakfast in good but their is a set menu at dinner. Quite far from town if you are walking, but I if you have a guide then no worries. Very big rooms with great bathrooms.
