I was on a culinary tour in Turkey. We stayed in five star hotels in major cities. They were nice. After we saw Troy and Pergamon and Ephesis, my mind began to wonder what life in those cities centuries ago was like. Then we came to Cappadocia. We arrived at night so it looked like we were entering an abandoned, ancient village. Instead we found ourselves escorted to a three level new stone accomodation. It had everything including an incredible view of the unique landscape. I awoke in the morning to the sound of what I thought was surf, here hundreds of mile from the sea. It was hot air balloons rising up over the fairy towers at dawn. This was the coolest place I have ever stayed. I can't wait to come back again.
