My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Lykia Lodge hotel in September. We were part of a small group of 12 travelers on a post-cruise extension. The hotel was a very good choice for our group. Since we had transportation and a guide provided to the various venues we had no issues as far as the location of the Lykia Lodge. The food was served buffet style but was quite excellent. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The bar was fairly well stocked and had an outside serving area next to the pool as well as an inside lounge. Speaking of the pool – it was a very nice environment but the water was so cold we kept looking for the ice cubes! The rooms at the Lykia Lodge were large, clean and neat but the furnishings could use some updating. Not a big deal, however, since we spent most of our waking hours on tour in the area. FYI, our guide told us that tourism has increased exponentially to the Cappadocia region so both Hilton and Sheraton are building and will open in the next year or so. We understand that there are some cave boutique inns in the area, too, that might be worth considering. But, the Lykia Lodge is still a good choice for a few days’ stay.
