The pro's: the breakfast staff is very nice and the garden where it is served is really lovely. The con's: the room was big, but not very clean and the bathroom horrible. If you look at their website, there is no photos of the rooms, and now I understand why... We paid 75 YTL, which is 30% more expensive than what we paid elsewhere throughout our 3 weeks in Turkey (but we started our trip in Cappadocia and didn't know!)

My wife and I stayed at this pansion (small hotel) in November 2005 for two nights while visiting Cappadocia. It was 35 TRL per night (like $26 at the time), and the room was small but clean and comfortable. There's no central heating in the room, but they give you a space heater that does a decent job. The bathroom is old school, meaning there's no shower stall, just a showerhead, and a drain on the floor. You shower next to the toilet basically, but that's typical of most pansions. There's a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom for air to escape which is nice, but keeps the bathroom ice-cold (at least in the winter). At least they have decent hot water, which not a lot of Cappadocia pansions have. Breakfast is typical Turkish - breads, jams, cucumber, olives, tomatoes, cheese, fruit and one egg. They advertise a communal room where you can hang out with other people and watch TV, but the owners are there all the time, so it feels like you're hanging out in their living room. And they both smoke a lot. Bottom line, for the hot water and clean room, it's darn good value for the money.

Cappadocia is one of the best places if you like hiking. If you stay in Göreme you only need to step outside to be surrounded by this beautiful fairy tale landscape.
Barbara, the dutch half of the couple running Kemal's Guest House, is a living GPS, she knows every secret corner and cave. She also speaks her languages very well, not only dutch and turkish, but I also heard her conversate with guests in english, french, german and italian.
The Guest House itself is very nice, the garden is a real garden of Eden, and the big garden bench is a meeting place for all the guests from all over the world.
