i stayed with my group at büyük truva hotel. All of them were satisfied.

The staff was not pleasant to deal with, disinterested and unhappy. We were quite surprised upon entering the room. This is in no way a 3 star hotel, the quality and appearance is closer to a hostel. The room had a distinctive smell, old and musky. The furniture and appearance of the room was very tired and outdated. We had requested a double bed (which they approved) but were given a room with 2 single beds (not quite what we had in mind for a romantic getaway). We requested our room to be changed and was told that none of the rooms with a sea view had double beds. This I found to be very strange. The pillows were not clean and one had some sort of makeup stain on it. After having a quick shower the gritty tub was filled up to my ankles because the drain wasn't working - disgusting. Overall it is a very old hotel and needs an urgent facelift. Everything is very much outdated and for some reason reminded me of the movie the shining. The last straw was the small card in the room stating that the hotel was not responsible for items that may be stolen from the room. I have never in my life seen such a sign in any hotel. How was I expected to leave my belongings here after reading this. Do they expect me to carry my suitcase around with me while site-seeing? Strange indeed. After spending a half hour in the room we decided it was not possible to stay here and have the relaxing weekend we had in mind so we found another hotel and left the room without even staying the night. Very disappointed. For this price this hotel is a total rip off. Nicer hotels for a similar price are avalable.

I stayed here for one night, while I was heading to kusadasi. This hotel is good value for the money. Very good location, a few minutes from the ferryboat. Private parking. I stayed in a triple room which was a little bit small for our luggage, but it was clean and ok for our needs. The hotel has its own restaurant.

I have just been to this hotel, in a jurney around Turkey. For the first night we stayed here so as to go to Troy. I was absolutely impressed by it. Clean, nice smelling, great breakfast. The food was all fresh and tasting (also the juice and tea were delicious - unlike in other many hotels we stayed during the trip).
They have probably invested a lot of time, money and effort, but since 2005 until now things changed dramatically (for the better).
Also the view from the diningroom is breathtaking - it looked like a composition for an impressionist painting.
All-in-all, great experience. I recommend it.
