First of all, what can I say? Since the first moments we entered this hotel the hotel service is dismal. It is sad to say this is a five-star hotel! A 1-star category is more appropriate.
We were given a very smelly, room with hard beds, and a view with nothing but a black painted wall!! Beware of these kinds of rooms, they are gloomy, and you cant tell if its day or night! The room decor resemebled that of a hospital and the 1980's!
Secondly, the bathroom was broken. The bathtub would fill with water and retreat half an hour later.
Thirdly, we ordered an iron and an iron board. The lady at the front desk said that the hotel does not provide irons. However, the man said that they do if we call in the morning. When we called in the morning, they said to call again at night! and so goes the cycle!
Forthly, we could bottles of water, which is the liquid that we humans need to function, surivive, and propser, and we were NOT allowed to bring it into the hotel because of some rule which was written in Arabic apparently for Arabs like us. I mean its water for God's sake.
Fifth, breakfast buffet. Very poor selection of food, cold, left opened. Omlette chefs which need to attend temper management courses. At 10:30 AM sharp the lights were turned off, and in comes 10s of chefs simultaneously picking up the food signaling the end of the buffet!?!? Five star service? When a certain food finishes, there is no replacement for it-- believe me--I requested it.
In conclusion, this hotel does not deserve to be even 1 star!
