This was the 1st stop on our Insight tour. We were looking forward to a nice rest in a cool room with a comfortable bed at what Insight claimed was a 5 star hotel. It was further than the truth. The room was gloomy & did not have a double bed, but 2 singles. Luckily it turned out for us as the promised interconnecting room to our children was not provided. Lucky it wasn't our honeymoon !! All 4 beds from both rooms were as hard as a rock. The airconditioner didn't work. According to all others on the tour, their experience was the same with the beds & a/c. Further, the bathroom was tiny & it was almost impossible to close the door. Others complained that their bathrooms smelt of sewage & that the light bulbs in their rooms weren't working. However, when they called for assistance, no-one would attend. Dinner was a below average buffet. Breakfast seemed better to me - a Turkish & continental breakfast - but there were some unhappy tourists who preferred a fully cooked breakfast & were dissatisfied. The tour guide admitted that the hotel had deteriorated & needed to upgrade its facilities. Really ???.

The only great experience I had with this hotel is its association with the 700 year old hamam, its absolute delight and pure relaxation doing the Turkish bath with scrub and massage. I felt invigorated after doing it. The hotel has average sized room and bathroom, a nice outdoor pool with the view of the hamam, breakfast and dinner buffet at the restaurant is terrible with very little choices and the cost of a can of soda is outrageous at 9TL which is about $5.25! Wi-Fi is free in the rooms.

We stayed at this hotel as part of Insight Tours. We were most disappointed that Insight which uses 5 star hotels would include this one whicg deserves one star at most. It was run down, dirty and everything had extra charge (including drinking water). Air conditioning did not work and the bed uncomfortable. We could not wait to escape from this hotel.

Almost everything was perfect. There was one big thing that spoiled this perfection; the indoor/outdoor pool which was fueled with thermal water was not clean. I am not sure that the pool was properly cleaned because the bottom of it was dirty. It’s a pity that such thing spoiled otherwise excellent impression and feeling.
