I stayed there for one week I can tell the whole for someone who are intended to stay at this hotel some of the staff are polite but others especially around the pool are not ok the rooms are too clean if you want to reserve a room in this hotel dont forgrt to get a room in seaside and I think in 5 or 6 floor the rooms in seaside are so beautiful my opinoin about foods are so so.... not bad and not good but during the week one night the food is great but not other times another problem is disco that it was empty all the night but maybe it was because of tour leaders that took the people in other discos in the city center I think the rate of this hotel is:a very good 4star hotel but not 5 star but in its cost its wothwhile but the worst thing that bothers you is chech out time when you are leaving everything is not free for you even a glass of water I give 55 from 100 to this hotel

“Excellent service staff cant do enough for you and lovely Hotel”

We stayed here for 2 weeks in May this year its the best hotel we have stayed in in Turkey over the last 10 yrs. The staff were very friendly and cant do enough for for you. The food was lovely with plenty of choice. The rooms were very nice and very clean only thing is the beds are a little hard. Their was different entertainment every night and if you wanted to to into the center of Kusadasi their is a bus service right outside for 2 lira each. The massage center was excellent and good value for money. You have everything you need in the hotel and we will be revisiting in September for another 2 weeks big thank you to all the staff as they made our holiday very special.xxx

“Average, not great but not awful either”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

I stayed here from the 18th to 25th October, right at the end of the season on an all inclusive holiday. As a whole the hotel was ok but no more. On the plus side the rooms were large, beds fairly comfortable and bathroom clean with an excellent shower, both hot and powerful throughout the day. Being next to the main road the dolmus goes into town every 15 minutes for only 2 Tl. Minus points include the food was the same almost every day and you were never too sure if it had been properly cooked. Also the beach is man made and looked dirty and nasty. Being the end of season not all the facilities were available so there was a general lack of atmosphere. The staff are variable from down right miserable to the almost hyper animation team who try very hard (but not always successfully) to keep the guests entertained. Top marks to them for effort! As mentioned in earlier reviews the reception staff speak limited English and don't smile a great deal.

Overall if you want a lively holiday I can't recommend it but for those on a budget wanting the convenience of all inclusive maybe worth a look.

“not as bad as people say”

We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted warmly although i agree that the staff at reception had little English. The rooms were clean and very adequate for our needs. The waiters were all friendly and polite because we were polite to them. It helps if you realise that they work 12-14hours a day for very little money. The breakfasts were very good and we had omelette or pancakes made while we watched. The other meals were so so and i agree about the Bulgarians who ate like animals and were very dirty in the toilets also so we had to regularly go to reception to ask for them to be cleaned. Stairs were a bit of a pain and beach not good. Entertainment minimal. Not a five star maybe a four but i would return early in the season.

“Would not go back”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

Having lost our original hotel with the collapse of Gold Trail, I had seen the reviews for the Onura and decided there were some good and some bad and thought it worth the risk.

Having had a four hour delay at Birmingham and arriving at 10 in the morning our initial impressions was ok. Contrary to some reviews on the staff, I would totally disagree. We were one of very few English people in the hotel when we arrived and the staff went out of their way to converse in English. They were polite and funny especially the waiters who do horrendous hours.

Definitely not a 5 star by any means. The confusing thing was the lobby bar, which is usually the place you meet up for dinner no longer dealt with alchohol, just coffee/tea machines and there were the only comfortable seats in the hotel. The main restaurant bar did not dispense drinks until dead on 7.30 in the evening when the food was available. The pool bar only served all other alchohol other than beer up until 1.00 and then you had to go down a further level to the snack bar which thereafter was the only place you could drink. This really got on your nerves, when all you really wanted to do was relax and chat with a drink on comfortable chairs. It appeared that the hotel was trying to cut back, but the staff tried so hard to please. We found out that it was the management who decided all these weird rules with the bar availability.

Also the Bulgarian presence cannot be avoided, they pile their plates and fill the entire table with food - just like starved animals. They cleared all the fruit in minutes.

All of this is such a shame as the hotel is in a beautiful location with the restaurant overlooking the sea. Staff that are extremely helpful and friendly but food that is nearly always just luke warm. I think they need a new manager. Having said all that, we had made up our minds to enjoy ourselves and we did - weather was glorious and trips into the town were really good as well as the many restaurants, which we took advantage of. Loved the shopping and the boat trip we went on. Had a trip to Silver Sands a few miles up the road - went by Dolmus Bus (very cheap) spent the day there on sun loungers with beautifully thick mattresses. Had a wonderful Turkish Bath and massage in the hotel Rooms are a bit dated, but cleaned every day and very clean.
