“advise:- DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!”

arrived at hotel late and they informed us the hotel was full. They put us up for a night in a hotel down the road and was told to come back in the morning. The hotel we stayed in was on the first floor on low ground with loads of cats walking past. It was very eerie. We had to climb 10 flights of stairs with our suitcases to get to reception in the morning to hand back the key. we said we were going to the hotel and they said do not take your bags as there is no where to leave them at the other hotel. we had to leave them there in full view for anyone to see. We just did not know what to do as we were so hungry and tired from lack of sleep. When we went back the following day to the esat hey still said the room wasnt ready. they said go for breakfast and it will be ready. we went for breakfast and there was no food to cater for the English. i know we were in turkey but been all inclusive you would have thought they would of had toast or cereal or sauages or bacon. no it was an all turkish hotel and only cateered for the turkish with olives and ham etc. We never went to breakfast at all ,all week. the lunches were ok but only had burgers and pizza but at least we could eat. we ate only a couple of times on the evening also. All in all the food was rubbish. The inclusive beer and spirits was limited and was advertised s finishes at 11pm but it finished at 10.30pm. When we went back to see if our room was ready at 9am we were told it still wasnt ready. eventually at 10.30am it was and when we got to the room it was basic and only had a street view. we asked for a pool view. they upgraded us to another room with a view but that had no aircon at all. so we stayed in the first room. the maid never came once in all the time we were there and we had to ask everytime at reception for toilet paper. It was a joke. The only thing nice was the weather. It was lovely and hot. please i do not recomend this hotel at all. It is definately not a 3 star.. more like a 1 star. the hotel staff do not speak much English. there was one woman who was friendly (she worked in the shop and behind the bar).

Everything written in the reviews that i have read are true ! But staff were helpful especially Guvan the girls favourite , the food was just about eatable , the drinks choice poor , the rooms cleanish (but the maid turned up at 5pm when you were getting a shower ), pool clean but pool area never swept only hosed . You were constantly pestered by people wanting you to go to their beach restaurant while you were eating ,we were put in the Alp for the first night as we arrived at 4am ( no surprise there then !) But love Kusadasi and the Turkish people , suppose you get what you pay for , lesson learnt ! Went on a boat trip and went to Ephesus both trips with ADA VEGAS on the main road about ten minute walk away very nice people , not pushy and great value (rep wanted £49 we paid £30 for Ephesus) if you want to book a trip highly recomended !! Dolmus stopped right outside hotel which was useful 1.75 lira each for the trip into town . Overall wont be going back to the Esat but possibly Kusadasi as it is lovely!

“also known as ESAT OTEL - WONT BE GOING BACK”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

stayed with partner and a child- july 2011. got to hotel in the early hours and were expecting to get our room at 12 mid-day. (due to the early hours flight) told that we would then have to wait until gone 12 to get in. we were given all inclusive wrist bands and told we could use the facilities. (this process of the room not being ready happened to everyone we spoke to. usually a technical fault was the excuse used and guests were offered a night at another hotel that wasnt the best. ) 12 mid-day passed and we were told the room wasnt ready. 1:45 was when we got into the room. room basic and clean.
food at this hotel isnt great. its lacking in choice and doesnt really cater for children. the
snack bar at pool is poor. it serves chips, pizza and burgers. if you get there after a certain time your told that they have only a certain thing left usually undercooked cold burgers. (pink in color) chips are served cold and are left sat in a steel tub on side. On one occasion i said i didnt want cold chips and they put them under a grill to warm them up. the pool bar is supposed to be open until 10:30 serving drinks yet most days it closed for an hour at 6ish so that staff could hose down the bar area (whilst people were sat there having a drink) and remove towels from all the sunbeds. (even of those who were still in the pool). the staff in general were quite rude , we found out later on in the holiday that the shop (if you can call it that) thats on site was charging everyone different prices for things. (maybe based on how much they liked you) a couple we spoke to from Cardif has been charged 2lira for water all week yet we were charged 1 lira. didnt spend any days by the pool as not enough sunbeds for all guests. without sounding unfair the hotel could so so much better by improving simple things. however german, russian and turkish guests are given preference over english guests.
There is no entertainment at night or during the day at this hotel we ate out 6 of the 7 nights.
DO NOT BOOK TRIPS WITH SUNDIAL ON LADIES BEACH. the fella could sell sand to the arabs but the boat trip we booked didnt happen. we were ready for pick up at 9:10 but the lift to the marina didnt arrive on time and we got to the boat too late. Got money back but wasted half our day. Used ADA travel on main street they are reliable and couldnt do enough for us. booked aqualand and Boat trip with them.
Good points about holiday. visit Chez maurice at long beach, for 28 lira (between 2 adults and 1 child) you get sunbeds each, umbrella's a free soft drink each, a plate of fruit each and a lift to and from hotel to beach. Plus the staff at Chez Maurice are friendly and genuine. BBQ night at Chez Maurice was fab. lots of choice on buffet, food was yummy and entertainment was good too. Avoid Diamond beach unless you like seaweed and being stuck in the middle of no-where.
Visit Capitains House on the main road opposite marina, staff are great with kids and food was ok too.
Kulle is also worth a visit, good food, and lovely decor. reasonable price.
Bulevard restaurant (restaurant to SEZAR hotel) very good food and friendly staff. try the SEABASS.
Overall we had a good holiday but only used ESAT OTEL for sleeping.

“Dirty and Disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2011

We visited this hotel in July 2011 for 11 nights. We arrived at 4am and was given a room which had wires hanging out the wall and urine stains on the toilet seat and furniture was covered in fag burns. We were moved to another room which was better and overlooked the poor pool area. The staff were very rude and didnt speak english very well and the food was a disgrace. We are not fussy eaters but we ate out every night. Loud banging music played by pool all day and you had no chance of getting a sunbed as these were saved the day before. Pool clean but area pretty poor and bar absolutely stank with flies everywhere.Drinks served in the thinest plastic cups i have ever seen. There is 1 lift that fits 4 people in at a time and no lights on the stairs at all. The shower was very salty and rooms not clean at all, although the towels were changed daily. Kusadasi nice but not very clean. Best place to eat was the Real Marina Chinese Reastaurant. (excellent food and service) Every night we were woke by banging doors and shouting drunken louts that had no respect for those trying to sleep. The room doors have large gaps at the bottom and you can hear everything. We overlooked the pool area and was woken most nights by drunks deciding to swim naked in the pool and using loud fowl language. Dont stay here because you will be disappointed. Its a disgrace.
