Myself & my wife stayed here for 2 weeks in October 2011 with a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old baby. The price we paid was cheap, and it was lucky it was cheap because it might of only got a 1 or 2 star review but I am taking the price into consideration when I give it 3 out of 5.

The best thing by far is the location! We walked all over Kusadasi and were glad we stayed here. The second best thing was the reception staff. They were all very helpful and went out of there way to answer any questions or give directions and arranged a shower for us while waiting for our transfer at night.

The hotel is old and the rooms were stuffy. We had smokers all around us and our floor stunk of smoke. The rooms were fairly clean but not spotless (razor from previous guest still behind bed-side table when we left) and maids were always happy though. The balcony was tiny and the rooms at the back have another hotel right in front of them. A mention of our cot: It was very old and slightly dangerous with rusted bolts sticking out!

I used the hotel gym a couple of times and it was pretty good for weightlifting (no squat rack though) and the breakfast was included but it was pretty bad. Lots of choice yes, but it is quality that counts, not quantity!

And last but not least (well actually last and least) I would like to mention the restaurant stuff in the downstairs bar. They were pretty rude, lazy and argued with us when we said my wife's vegetables were so salty that she couldn't eat them! One night football was on and one of them made me wait while he sat and watched the match... (Knob!)

So overall, for the price and location it is worth it but if you think its a 5 star hotel you have pretty low standards.

Stayed here last week. Perfect central location. All rooms (as far as we could see) have a sea view. Restaurant faces the sea and harbour where cruise ships come in and out every day for the local sights of Ephesus and Pamukkale (both fabulous trips.) The hotel has roof top pool and indoor pool. Hotel is very clean in every respect and the beds are changed every other day. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, free wi fi in rooms. I would class it as a 3 star hotel. The breakfasts had a reasonable choice, but don t get there late as some foods not replenished. Evening meals were adequate with a choice of two mains (but the the price we paid we were more than happy with this.) Compared to other Turkish resorts in October it was still busy, everywhere still open.
Would return again with no worries.

Beautiful hotel, so clean and the staff are very friendly, in the centre of anything with just a short walk to restaurants, bars and clubs.
had a room on the 5th floor with a gorgeous view of the sea and could watch the cruise ships coming in and out of the marina :)

Stayed at the Derici hotel last year and just arrived back from this years holiday. Just loved everything about it. The hotel is lovely and the staff just make it so wonderful, they are a credit to the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the regulars again and it was lovely when they all came over to "cuddle" us when we arrived and left. Its just so special. Can't thank everyone enough for such a lovely time.
