“Highly Recommend after a bumpy start!”

We booked our honeymoon here at short notice 13th October 2011 so not many rooms left to choose from we booked a king size bedroom with balcony and view of the sea...
Prepare for a very long journey from the airport...over an hours drive and expensive transport book from the hotel car desk and not the hotel for your return its cheaper!
We arrived to a room which was lovely, clean but had two single beds pushed together NOT HAPPY! Not the room we imagined with King size bed... maybe some flowers?
Not the honeymoon I had hoped for however we complained and the hotel was full but the very next day we were taken to the most stunning bedroom and could not have been happier. It was laden with flowers everywhere... petals in the bathtub... in a bowl on the balcony... on the bed with swan towel... PERFECT!
We had arrived very late 1am but food and drink was available all night which was so charming... loved the soup and crusty buttered bread with coffee and wine! This hotel is immaculate and clean and the food is of an excellent standard and very well-organized! All areas of this hotel are kept clean and well maintained to the highest standards. Our room was amazing! The beach is rocky like Brighton and the sea is extremely salty and no fish to be seen but so beautiful, there are no hidden costs... apart from eating at the Al a Carte restaurants you pay for a better wine which is only to be expected and worth the extra... however the champagne was over £120 so not on our budget. The hotel is in a stunning resort... completely well-managed, free-flowing food and drinks all the time, restaurants at set times and the food is breathtaking on display and tastes fabulous too with the most AMAZING variety and selection to choose from. The pools, outdoor eating and drinking areas are all clean, staff are at hand all day and night and the entertainment is great fun. We played tennis on the courts, ate, drank and swam in the sea a lot, changing our towels as often as we liked. Happiest holiday you could ever plan!
Staff are charming, helpful despite being under a lot of pressure from the completely rude Russians! so Thank you and Please helps to ease their days I am sure!
To summarize... its immaculate, comfortable, well-managed, huge variety of beautifully presented food and we are looking forward to taking the children with us next year!
Thank you for a fantastic honeymoon and hope to see you all next year Jules and Marie

“Enjoyed but !”

We visited as a family during the end of October half term.
Guests mostly Russian but no problem.
On checking in we were given 2 very small double rooms with couches for 4 adults and 3 children. Totally unable to move in these rooms we requested larger rooms and were transferred on the 3rd day to family rooms in “bungalow” blocks. These rooms were far superior and very spacious & made our stay far more relaxing & enjoyable.
Although we had lovely sunshine for all 7 days by the end of October the pools were very cold, especially the aqua park, we spent most of the time in the sea, which was still quite warm.
The indoor pool, which is heated, was also good.
The grounds are very well kept and lovely to walk in.
As always in a large hotel, the food at the buffet was on the cold side, though on several occasions a technician in a white coat was taking samples for analysis, so they take food hygiene seriously. Saying that, there was a good variety and you could always wait for something hot & fresh at the grill / fry / pizza cooking stations. Snack / lunch beach / restaurants fine. We didn’t use the ala Carte restaurants as we had 3 boisterous children with us, and I don’t think it fair on others who like peace and quiet on holiday.
Staff were very efficient & friendly towards the adults & especially friendly with the children.
Finally we got the impression that the hotel was closing down for the winter
All the grass roofed sun huts were pulled up off the beach and there was no evening entertainment or shows except for music / disco in the lobby or bingo on a couple of nights. The hotel seemed fairly busy though not in any way full, but I would have thought either your open up & running a complete service for your paying guests with some proper entertainment or your shut.
All in, we enjoyed our stay but would have liked some evening entertainment.

Room Tip: Ask for a bungalow family room

“Perfect sea avarage resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We hve been there with my family of 3. İn general food was avarage, staff was very kind and helpful, rooms were not new and İ must say that is not matching the Rixos image in general. However, if you are there to enjoy the beautiful sea then you can hire the bungalows during the day. They serve lunch to your bungalow and you can stay there without getting back to your room. Especially visitorsnwith kids would enjoy the benefit of being under shadow during the midday.

Room Tip: You can ask for the rooms in the "new building" side.

“Outstanding Hotel”

Have just returned froma week here and I would highly recommend. The hotel is beautifully clean and well maintained. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment team made sure most nationalities were catered for when talking to their audience. The food was out of this world and if you have a sweet tooth the desserts were spectacular. The gardens were beautiful. Even the housekeeping staff were some of the most courteous I have met. All in all a superb hotel and a superb holiday. Would definately go back.

“our family vacation August 2011”

The hotel grounds are kept up nicely and the food was good. It would have been nice to have more of a variaty of guests (it was 99% russian) and all the entertainment with is Russian. But the staff was friendly, and I guess it could not be avoided..

Room Tip: do not choose a ground floor room, very noisy.
