Our family vacation from Canada to Turkey was good at this resort, overall. Decent facilitites, staff were hospitable, consciencious and the hotel was generally well kept and clean.
However, the group of guests coming from that largest European nation by population we found to be completely out of line. It was impossible to find a pair of pool loungers at 8:30am any given day. Apparently the guests get up as early as 4:00am to lay claim to their little piece of real estate and monopolize their loungers all day while they sleep in their rooms upstairs most of the day.
What a fiasco and we're shocked how the hotel handles this and doesn't pull all the guest towels to make them comply with the posted house rules. For such an orderly and apparently sophisticated society of guests I was dumb founded and shocked how this little game is played and how uncomfortable this feels as Canadian guests. I was tempted to take 150-200 towels on the morning we were leaving and throw them all in the pool!
Now I know what to watch for when I go traveling to European Resorts and speaking to others in Europe and Canada, now I've learned this is partly what gives this group of travelers an overall not so good reputation.
I hope the hotel does something about this - it was a real turn-off!
