Quite an average hotel , though generally met our needs.
We stayed Half Board & there was supposed to be a buffet service, but as we stayed 2nd week of May & only a few guests we were given no choice of food for the first few nights. We mentioned this to our rep & the next night there was a small buffet selection , though this could have been because a few more guests had arrived. There was always a good selection of salad & cold dishes, not so good on the hot as only 3 hot trays & one of these was always either potatoes / rice/ pasta . Desserts, well virtually non existent , a bit of fruit or some weird gloopy white blamange thing served up in different ways :(
The room was basic, clean & functonal & the balcony adequate , we could just see the sea from ours.
Pool area was very nice and was kept clean.
Staff were generally friendly & helpful , the 2 cleaning ladies are sweet .
The beach is just a short stroll down a gently sloping road . Make use of the free beach beds offered by the beach bars , the lads look after you well .
Just down the road from hotel toward beach is an Italian Coffee house , Lavazza coffee & home made Tiramasu to die for....... I had a lasagne here also , delicious , but don't try the Spaghetti Cabonara unless you like it with hot pepperoni & chilli in the sauce ! ???? They also do nice meals & Lavazza at the small Aquarius Hotel round the corner to right .
Side is a fascinating resort & we walked into the historic part a few times & kept finding new things to see .
Would recommend booking trips from local tour offices, there's one just a couple of doors from hotel. We did the Dam Lake trip & Alanya , thoroughly enjoyed both.
Please be aware that for some reason the Antalya region of Turkey is much favoured by Germans & Side was pretty much geared towards them , there were also a few Scandinavians about . We were there 5 days before we heard another English voice.
Another thing that took us by surprise was that most of the shops displayed prices in Euros only, new to us as when visiting Icmelir/ Marmaris area or Kusadasi area, this was never the case.
