We loved our meal at Gul and were so impressed with the high standards they set.
Shared a mezze for starter - wonderfully presented and full of good tastes.
chateaubriand for our main - delicious!!!
The very friendly owner is keen to help tourists with any info about Turkey in general as he has his computer handy. he was the nicest man we have met so far. And he didnt try to sell us real estate or trips etc!!!
Would recommend this to anyone visiting Side - we will retirn before we go back to Scotland!!!

I had dinner with my family at Gül restaurant after reading about it here on trip advisor. And unfortunately we were all very disappointed with the food, one of the main dishes we ordered was their "specialty", a casserole with prawns and beef. When it arrived on the table it was overcooked and not very tasty.
I can see why this restaurant is liked, the staff were lovely and the setting is nice, but I cannot recommend going here for the food, which neither of us liked. There are so many nice restaurant choices in Side town and this one simply did not meet our expectations. We ended up spending more here than anywhere else we ate, but the food as I mentioned before was not value for money.

Location at first floor with sea views. We tried on 2 visits kebabs( beef and lamb ) which were great and came with trad veg and on second visit had chicken hotpot which I only just finished! Small turkish starter/dips. Service generally good although slightly lacking on a busy night. Finally as previous reviewer said do try the chocolate cake as melts in the mouth. Overall would recommend you try this one. Approx 70lire without drinks
