Arrived back from Alibey on 16th Sept 2011. Fantastic holiday! Place is clean, friendly and the location is excellent. The choice and quality of food should suit all travellers. My daughter is twelve and normally quite fussy with her food but she had no problems. Beer is ok and the kids will love the ice creams. Tea time snacks also available. The animations team put on some great shows and most are in English. Most of the staff are friendly and more than willing to help although you have to speak up when you want serving as the bar staff tend to serve the Turkish and Russians first. Plenty of sun beds and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Aquapark is more than i expected. Some decent rides for both adults and kids. Not too busy but if you want a whole day then get there for 09.30. Turkish bath and massage was also very good. Gents can get a good shave at the hairdressers for about £7.

A few downsides that could be easliy addressed:

Rooms need refurbing but do not let it put you of as the maid visits every day and you only sleep in it.
Request a room on the second floor as the cleaners are quite noisy.
Request a room in the middle of the complex as Fitness First starts at 09.00 with some idiot singing and dancing.
Need more inflatables. Just have a moan to the lifegaurds and they will get you one.

Tips:

A few little tips go a long way with the waiters.
Do not book trips with your tour operator. Go and haggle on the beach.
Spare sunbeds behind the "Pool" bar.
If you are going into Manavgat for the market then haggle witht the taxi drivers. Works out to about £24.00 there and back.
Make sure when in the market you have a fan and water and always offer them more than half when buying goods.
Do not shop in the hotel complex as it is very expensive. Walk out of the hotel and turn left. There is a bunch of shops that are reasonable.(10 mins)
Take beach shoes as it can be a little harsh on the feet.

Overall a very enjoyable holiday. I never go back to the same place but would consider this again.

i stayed at this hotel in 2010 August, rooms are AWFUL and their decorations from 1970s, tv is 20 years old , reception resembles only 3 star hotel and worst of all meal timings very much similar to military garrisons, you are practically in jail when it comes to meals, you should stick to meal timings or you stay hungry as no food served between meal timings, staff not friendly, when i went up to reception to complain about rooms and son on, he very rudly told me " we offer you sun & beach so what else do you need ", i simply told him" sun & beach are blessing from god and i pay to get a service, also the price was sky-rocketing the value of their services,,, DO NOT go there. i was also surprised to notice that they cook omlet from apreserved CANNED eggs,,, imagine if their eggs not fresh, what do we expect here????

just come back from this hotel after pre booking the can garden . i was told at the airport that there was a problem with the can garden with thomsons.
i was annoyed as we had been to the can garden twice before and loved it.
i was transfered to the alibey and on first impressions it was not what i expected.
the next day we looked around the hotel and the facilities, they looked promising and as the week went on we discovered more good things than bad. the room was a bit dated and shower cubical quite small. the grounds of the hotel and aqua park were lovely.
the hotel is mirrored with pools on both sides, restaurants on both sides with a beach resaurant.
a quiet pool where children were not allowed which was good, all drinks efsis beer in bottles, coke, fanta all in bottles, magnem ice creams,all free. baggets filled with salad and cheese, also cakes and cheese cake thro out the day .
you could get corona lager, becks lager at a small extra cost.
weather was very hot, never below 30 degrees , too hot for me.

bad things about this hotel, are,

there is no air conditioned bars to relax if you have had too much sun.

bar staff to friendly with russians, germans, and they had thier moods when they would serve you quickly or not.
animation team all for germans and russians.
ants in my room also catterpillars.
arrogant germans and russians no manners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please note you lot. get some!!.

rooms need updating

good things were,
the twin turkish girls lovely and very friendly and helpfull in resturant and bar.
food all quite nice and freshly cooked for you
bottled beer
generous shorts measures
nice weather
beach

i would probably go back but we need some more british out there.

we have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks hols at Club Alibey, Turkey

it woz an amazing hotel, food, shows are amazing

saw lion king, beauty & the beast, ariel, tarzan - madonna woz crap, michael jackson had a technical fault so didnt happen. my fav woz joseph - saw that ova at the park side as well.

my only moans were that the entertainment announcments to be more in english, poxy german & russian.

plastic cups to be used around the pool - so many breakages

ban smoking on the outside part of the restaurant and not enuf tables to seat a group of 8.

we did 2 excursions with first choice and have complained about the boat & safety

but overall could not fault the hotel, staff, cleaniness.

will defo be going back
