As a family with a 10 year old we have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Club Hotel Golf in Side Turkey. Side itself is a lovely resort and we hope to go back some day...but not to the hotel Club Hotel Golf. Staff did try to help but it was difficult as no one spoke English.

Firstly, upon arrival early hours in the morning, our room was okay (but definately not 4* more like a 2* or at best 3*) and then we spotted loads of dirt and food under our bed....the floor was sandy and in the bathroom was a dirty sink, glass and someone's tooth!!! The room had obviously not been cleaned for our arrival. Eventually we managed to describe to reception staff the need for the room to be cleaned and the cleaners did come into the room a few days after that...but then it stopped towards the end of the week and our room was not cleaned for 3 days.

We were all inclusive and the food was disgusting - the same slop was served for lunch and dinner every day. The Russians, Turks and Germans seemed to enjoy it!! We were the only English there and tried to join in with the beach volley ball but other guests made us feel very unwelcome. The staff were however, friendly.

Entertainment and kids club was no good as everything was in Russian!

The pool area however, was very clean and lovely.

This hotel is mainly for Russians,the food is mostly catered for Russian tastes.
There is no evening entertainment for adults.
All entertainment is in Russian.
The hotel suffers badly with technical problems,plumbing,electrics,
One guest had hot water going into their W.C.
The sat t.v is a joke, the only channel in English was J.C.tv
The cleaning of the rooms leave a lot to be desired.
The hot water was only hot for 6days out of the 14days.
Communication is poor ,as very few staff could talk English.
They did try to help
