“Turkish delight!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

My wife and I, plus our 13year old son went to the AliBey Club with lots of confidence after having read all the Trip Advisor reviews first, and boy were they right!!

From the moment we arrived at 5am in the morning, feeling very tired, we were checked in and the bags were delivered to our room before we had even got out of the reception area(which was 10mins top).

The room which was on the ground floor of a block, and was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for all your clothes(which makes a change to other 5 star places we've been to), and even though our room was not one of the new upgraded rooms, it was very clean with great air conditioning, which was a must in August! The only gripe that I would have, is that you wake up when upstairs wake up, especially if as we had, they move furniture around, or bounce a football at all hours, or the cleaners are in moving furniture to clean etc, as the noise is quite loud being on marble floors-so tip is to get an upstairs room!!....lol.........

In the room you have a fridge which has drinks already supplied(free), beer, water, soft drinks, and they are restocked every day-excellent, as many places we have stayed on all inclusive have charged extra for this!!
The TV.............well the same English channels as most places we've been to before......BBC World news and Sky News,....just wish there was ITV and BBC so that when you're getting ready you have something that isn't been repeated every 15 mins(as the news channels do)...lol...

The gardens outside the blocks are all very well kept and mature, plus their are water fountains in between each four blocks which are lovely.........

Their are two restaurants one near the outdoor pool(air conditioned inside) and one on the beach......both serve a huge range of foods that are excellent and there is always something for everyone......I really cannot fault them at all.
The only slightly negative comment (maybe just a selfish one) is on the subject of food at breakfast -as even though you have a huge choice of eggs, yogurts, fruit, pastries, etc, etc, there are no English sausages or bacon,or even baked beans,(incredible) but there are mini franfurter type of sausages(urgh!)....lol...All in all they're not geared up for the Brits(but only at breakfast)....moan over-but it is only a small one!lol.

The restaurants are immaculate and hygeine has to be up with the best! In fact the hygeine and cleanliness of the entire resort is immaculate!! Our favourite restaurant was on the beach at night watching the sun go down, with a gentle breeze coming off the mediterranean.

The waterpark is superb, plenty of rides for everyone, and all the food, drink is included in your AI package, plenty of sunbeds, with shelter from trees for a large proportion of the sunbeds, all with parasols, and again no litter at all!! Just be careful walking around the waterpark, as, as quick as they mop up water to stop you from slipping, more water is there straight away(well you'd expect that in a water park wouldn't you?) lol....so do as we did and wear jellies that are non slip and problem solved. There is a restaurant which serves food at lunchtime and late afternoon, and the food once again is excellent with a huge salad bar, the usual chips, burgers, pizzas, fish, pasta, plus many other things to choose from.........

The beach is lovely with loads of sunbeds and cover from the sun with man made parasols made from wicker etc.....superb shelter. the sand is soft until you get towards the sea and then PEBBLES galore!!lol....ouch!......wear those jellies...!! When entering the sea you can go about 3-4 metres and then ................wow that was deep!!
We did many water sports whilst there, where you pay them directly on the beach and thoroughly enjoyed them all...would recommend them to anyone.

The staff at the Alibey are brilliant................nothing was too much trouble and they work their socks off to serve you.............we slipped them a 5 Lira here and there (£2) and that brought a big smile to their faces and also got us served much quicker etc...lol..

On site you have various shops............very,very expensive indeed..My watch broke whilst I was there(about £100) and so I thought I would buy another one at about that price but unless I wanted to buy a cheap watch which wasn't waterproof(for the pool),the prices started at £250 and upwards!!
The papers are prices as anywhere else in Europe at about 2.50lira (£1)........so no gripes there...but one day we bought 2 twix and one mars(all std size) and the cost was 18lira (over £7!!)...-needless to say that we didn't buy anything else from there...........so be careful as nothing is priced up!!!!!!!!!
But isn't that the same wherever you stay at a hotel???..............

Their is one main pool which is big enough and deep, with a very small area that is shallower(about 3ft deep) which brings a welcome escape from the intense heat of August, but if you want a sunbed you'll have to get up early as by 8am they've all gone!!!lol..Hence we were on the beach or in the water park most days, as their are plenty of sunbeds at either place...
You also have a quiet pool near the beach which is for adults and children over the age of 14(I think), which is nice with it's own bar,and only about 10 metres from the beach.......mmmm..

The shows at night are excellent.....The sound, costumes, and effort put in, is equal to anywhere-except for the fact they mime...........but believe me if it hadn't been for someone telling me I would never have known!lol..

All in all we have stayed in various 5 star places and this without doubt gets the No.1 spot!!

The gripes mentioned are very small indeed, as let's be honest we all have our own little moans and groans about things no matter where we stay, don't we?lol..

We WILL be going back again, which speaks volumes for the place, but this time we'll be requesting an upstairs room!!!lol..

Well done to all at the Alibey for making our holiday a great one!!

Room Tip: Higher floors are a plus.....as no one above you to make noise.

“Great Holiday”

Spent a week at Ali Bey from the 27th September and thought it was fantastic for the price that we paid for a week.
Have seen people saying the rooms were dated but on arrival we were told we had been put in the new upgraded blocks (Block 6). Was definitely up to my expectations and could not have been happier.
Aqua Park is great, loved the slides, pools and facilities. Didn't tend to use the beach that much but was fine.
Drinks were in large measures and never waited long to be served.
The food was good but slightly chaotic in the peak times. To be expected I suppose but the food more than made up for it!

Can't really say anything negative. Even our transfer was only 55 mins or so as Thomas Cook sent a taxi each time, given we were the only ones going!

Would reccommend to anyone!

“Turkish delight with bells on!”

We stayed at this resort fo two weeks during June this year. the hotel is set in many acres, having individual villas with many seperate rooms. The villas were beautiful with landscaped areas within the villa. The restaurants were excellen the food of many varietys always plentiful. we dined later usualy around 8.30 in the evening as we did not have younger children, (two 14 year old boys) The service was sometimes sporadic due to the high number of tables but you always got served within 5 minutes for drinks, If you were so thirsty you just went up to the bar and asked for a drink!
The staff were very friendly, all spoke a reasonable amount of English and were happy to tryand speak with us.
The boys enjoyed the water park where we spent the majority of the time. The weather was in the mid 30's and felt very pleasant.
The beach is also very nice.
We enjoyed the nightly shows, all of a very high standard.
We had two rooms, the boys were not directly next to us but accross the courtyard approx 20ft away! the rooms are large enough to be comfortable. there is plenty of storage room. The bathroom was of a good standard and clean. The tiles do make the rooms seem dated but these are turkish tiles in a native style not the normal plain ones us brits are used too.
Only hitch was Thomas COOK. No rep at all. never saw one from start to finish. and they dd not remember to pick us up from the hotel for our return to he uk. not a plesant taxi ride costing me over 100 euro! and still in September trying to get the money back.

Room Tip: You will not get a sea view unless you book expensive rooms. all roms have independant air con which...

“Fantastic Holiday - couldn't fault anything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

This is my first review on tripadvisor, and I wanted to write it because we were so happy with this resort. (visited in Sept 2011 with my girlfriend).
Arrival at Antalya airport at 4am, and then a 1hr20min bus transfer to Ali Bey. Note that Alibey Club and Alibey Club Park are both the same thing, but there is a seperate Alibey (in Belek I think). Anyway, there is just one Alibey in Magnavat from what I can tell.

The resort itself was huge. Unlike neighbouring resorts that seemed to be just high rise buildings, the accomodation at Alibey is in large villas (each with about 20 rooms, over two floors). This gives the whole resort a very cosy, village-y feel.

Not many British people at this resort, but not a problem at all. The staff were ALL very friendly, with a great sense of humour (not sure if this is a Turkish thing, but they have a very dry sense of humour).

Highlights of the visit:
- The water park (where we spent every afternoon during our 6-day holiday)
- The food (HUGE selection)
- The 'Silence' pool.

Only 'downside'
-Yes, the hotel rooms are a bit dated. However, they seem to be upgrading the rooms (photos of which were on show in reception). Not sure if these rooms require an upgrade however.

Either way, we cannot recommend this place enough. We stayed for 6 nights, and personally think that was perfect the duration.

Room Tip: If you're looking for an early night, ask for a villa that's in the 'center', ie awa...

“What hasn't been said before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

Everything that previous reviews have said is spot on and more. What hasn't been mentioned is the mosquitoes it is very humid at night and the mosquitoes will bite like mad so make sure you have repellant to spray on and for your room, the electricity and air con stays on when you leave the room so it is fine and does help.
The hotel offer a pillow service, you can order from a memory foam pillow, firm or soft pillow and they are delivered to your room within the hour in addition to the pillows you already have. The number is in the information folder in the room. Do not carry cases they will be delivered and collected on request the number is in the same folder.
If you struggle to get a sun bed at the family pool as at the bar an a chap will bring you the sun beds you need, the usual towel reservation goes on but don't get into the 06:00 rush you can get sun beds this way.
Gala night is superb and Turkish night at the beach bar is fantastic but if you are not there by 19:30 for the latter you will not get a table unless reserved in advance, do not miss this one.
All of the children will want a helicopter that is flung in the air by an elastic band, get them from the pool shop, the price is better than others. The other must have toy is a laser pen that can be bought from the Manavgat market for 15 euros.
Everything is on the flat and within easy walking distance for my 80 year old Mom, the staff made a real fuss of her and i believe after e-mailing the resort before we arrived our room was very central for all amenities, thank you.
If you go to the Side market by taxi the driver will drop you at a bus station (turkish style) you have to get on a dolmus to the market and back to the bus station due to restrictions on going into the town. This market is ok but no where near as big as the one in Manavgat, make this your priority, get a taxi, you will pay 30 euros, the guy will take you to a drop off point and give you his card, you return to the drop off point and a guy from the drop off point will ring the driver and he comes back to pick you up and take you back to the resort.
Other bits: check in-slick, check out better. Water pare brill-no queues, good food, plenty of sun beds, warm water, lots of fun. Food-fab, drinks-fab, service-fab, room-fab.
Ali Bey is excellent, Turkey is excellent, thank you for a brilliant holiday. please do not hesitate to book.
