“Don't hesitate you'll love it!”

After reading some negative reviews of this place we we a little worried, but right from the start we were treated like Royalty.
The rooms were great and we were lucky enough to wake up with the breathtaking views of the mountains every morning.
Food was excellent with a different theme everyday work it never got boring. We spent a lot of time on the beach where the snacks may not have been as varied but they were very nice, the food was hot and the beer was cold.
The staff all really friendly and always kept the place spotless.
As for the people complaining about Russians etc, if you just expect British and home from home, stay at home. Simple. We loved it and our 10 year old boy had the time of his life, we would definitely return.

I too read these reviews prior to going here and all i will say is try it. It was my first time in Turkey, I have travelled all over from Hawaii through America and most of europe, Turkish people are the most hospitable nation I have come across, what we do as a matter of fact is not trust anyone these days and when anyone shows us genuine hospitality, we shy away from it. Just give them a chance to help you and relax in their company you will be suprised when you get the feeling of getting a good deal. Dont be afraid to haggle, I quite enjoyed having a laugh with the shop keepers and by the way markets are not always as cheap as the shops in the town. The hotel was very good and all the waiters went out of the way to make your stay welcome.

Room Tip: good views of the taurus mountains

“Not suitable for beach holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Pros: very nice relax pool with its own garden, location near the tower center, decent food, good housekeeping, very beautiful hotel territory with nice mountain view.
Cons: first of all, beach. As we were looking forward to beach holiday we were very much disappointed. The beach is tiny. There were not enough sunbeds and only one row of sunshades. So we had to go to the beach very early to find a good place. Late arrivals (including small children) had to be exposed to direct sun. When those people tried to find shadow elsewhere, the beach personnel very rudely yelled at them and threatened to charge them for moving sunbeds. This seems very inhospitable and downright irrational. One day they just closed the beach to hold a motor racing contest! It looks like the hotel management just did not care that we travelled such a long way to enjoy the sea, not the sport bikes racing around us. Animation team is weak, evening shows were really boring. If they held an open air disco every night we would be so much happier with it. Also, it seemed like the personnel were friendly only until a minor problem occurred. The hotel was obviously overbooked and the day we arrived they put us (three same-sex not related grownups) into a two bed room!!! We thought that it was a mistake but the assistant general manager told us that this was the hotel policy and we just had to accept it. Luckily, they found a three bed room the next day but nobody presented any excuses and we were very disappointed from the very beginning. Imagine our surprise when the same manager actually tried to hit on my friend a couple of days later.

Conclusion: Good value for your money but don’t expect too much if you are looking for a beach holiday. We would definitely never stay there again.

Room Tip: Try get a room with a mountain view (not the main building). They are so much quieter

arrived at this hotel in the early hours with my wife and son and two friends.checked in within 5 minutes(chap on reception filled in our passport details)and were directed to our rooms.the room was clean and tidy but not overly large, but plenty big enough for the three of us .first impressions were good, and they stayed that way throughout our holiday.no moaning from my wife about the room or the food(egypt twice with nonstop bickering). Our friends also found the hotel pleasing and especially enjoyed the adults only pool.we found the beach very nice and the sea clean. The food was good with a wide variety of choise.(my son is very picky.and he ate every day.something he did,nt do in egypt). The staff where very friendly and helpful especially emra and his tall spikey haired assistant in the harem bar.

The pools were clean and fun(splash pool).

Kemer has quite a few shops, which we sampled on a few occasions and has a beautiful marina.also close to the marina is a burger king.

We went on a boat trip for the day and had great fun(40TL per person,15pounds each)10 till 5 with 3 stops and lunch and loads of foam on the way back.

overall the holiday brilliant, and would recomend this resort hotel to anyone,as we had a lovely time and cant wait to go back to kemer.

“The WORST hotel we have EVER stayed in!!! DO NOT GO!!!”

I am going to give you a totally honest review of what we experienced at this hotel.

First of all we arrived early hours of Wednesday morning to realise a man was taking our bags and we were just told to follow him! We didnt have a clue who he was, we got into reception and we were asked to fill out some forms and given our speel of rules that we could not really understand as he could speak much english.

The room!
We went into the room and all looked OK. However, the fridge didnt work and our view was appalling looked like unfinished building work.

The next day we went to our welcome meeting as the only people there!! She was 1hr and 15 mins late... she was notapologetic in the slightest. As we waited for the rep we thought we'd go and get some food.... Jeezzz wish we never went the food looked like SLOP!! It was a guessing game of what you was eating.

The pools were OK by what we saw but as the children kept jumping in it was impossible to go for a relaxing swim! The pools are very close together so there is NO quiet pool!

We went to the beach on the shuttle (otherwise it was a 20 min walk) it came every half an hour. The beach itself is OK but there is wrappers and rubbish floating in the sea in which you have to avoid!

We then returned from the beach tofind our rooms still uncleaned as they dont clean the rooms and change the towels until 5pm on the night. The evening meal was again appauling as you constantly get shoved around by Germans and Russians. The food was unedible you wouldnt give your dog this food!! You also can not get any tables... so you either have to go at 7pm when it opens or 15 mins before it closaes to get a table which is still got other peoples food left on as they dont clean up quick enough.

The entertainment was foreign as you would expect in a foreign country, but there is nothing for english people or english children!!

At the Al la carte restaurant you have to pay for drinks which we knew our bill came to 37 Turkish Lira and they took 40 Turkish Lira and did not give us any change!! Food was pathetic we got soup and some chicken on a stick. This would not have been worth paying for!

We tried to arrange flights home as this hotel is awful! We were told by Thomas Cook that it was unavailable and we had to stay there! So for the next 2 days we were living on Ruffles crisps and pringles not from the hotel!! We spent 5 hours there on friday and decided we wanted to leave we were happy to go to ANY airport in the U.K but again said no, they offered us an upgrade to another hotel in Kemer for £900. Which we refused as we had already paid over a £1000 for this holiday another £900 is not good enough! We had to phone our travel agent from the Co-op travel to help arrange a transfer to a different hotel she helped us sort everything but Thomas Cok again lied saying there was nothing else but a £900 transfer! They just wanted us to pay more money to move!!! The service we recieved by Thomas Cook was diabolical!!

We moved hotels to Lykia World in Antalya it cost us 340 TL to move we informed the hotel reception staff and they didnt care that we were leaving early at all! They booked a Taxi for us to leave, which we couldnt be more grateful for its the best thing they did all holiday!!!

The next hotel Lykia world is amazing! I would recommend this to anyone!! They are very friendly and get you involved.

Basically, I would never in my life go on a holiday with Thomas Cook again! They are useless and lie about availability so you have to pay more money!!
