OMG! Had the most amazing time here in August stayed for 2 Weeks and it was perfect especially if like us you dont venture out the resort. We were a family of 5 - 3 adults and 2 boys (6 & 18 mths) both had an amazing time the Thomas Cook reps and Animation teams were fabulous really friendly and always kept the kids the amused during the hot days which meant we could relax. Okay so we had to be up early to get towels on Sunbeds but hey it was the busiest two weeks in August its gonna be like that wherever you go. I am now trying to book to come back this year!!!!

“Good hotel to spend a week on a seashore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

We have spent a week in this hotel. The hotel is OK if you like to spend your time without leaving the place.
Location. the hotel is far from any shopping and dining place. So if you need any entertainment that is not offered in the hotel you will need to rent a car or buy an additional tour.

The hotel staff seems to be a bit gloomy - they do not like to smile much.

The hotel has three restaurants. Though only one was open in April. The food quality is good so that you'd not like to go somewhere out. The drinks are worse than you'd expect. The wine served was really poor and any cocktail a barmen made was awful.

Hotel has its own sauna and one swimming pool in sauna and two more swimming pools outside. Your children will really enjoy those while you are taking a steam bath. There is also a gym but we had not attend it.

Hotel occupies a large area so you can rent a bike to spend half an hour to ride around the whole place. Rooms are placed in several four-storey buildings with nice balconies and decent room service.

If you plan to spent 5-6 days lying on the shore and drink Cola then you will probably like this place. You will definitely need full pension here because there are no other place to go out. take all drinks with you from airport's duty free.

Room Tip: Do not take a room on a ground floor. Never. Rooms on the ground floor are cold and moist. Try payin...

“Relaxing holliday”

We went to Marti Myra hotel at the end of october. It was our third trip to Turkey, and the previous two were in September. We choose again Kemer area, with pebbles beaches, because here the sea is cristal clear, and the mountains nearby create a wonderful landscape.
The location of Marti Myra, a complex of villas, in the middle of a pine forrest, is great. Our room was big, well furnished, had a great bathroom and a great view from the balcony. The room was cleaned every day, sheets and towels changed and great turn down service (Thank you, Sherife!).
The beach was good, with sand and pebbles, and a wonderful view.
The food was very good in all the restaurants (main, a la carte, phaselis), and the staff polite and friendly.
We can't tell the same thing about bars (except Phaselis, there everything was very good). First of all, the staff was impolite especially with other people than russians, drinks were poor quality, turkish coffee the worst we've ever drunk.
But the most impolite staff was at reception, rude, especially the lady who was on duty the day we checked in (15.10.2011), and the day before we checked out.
Our oppinion is that kind of staff atitude is very bad for such a beautiful hotel as Marti Myra.
Many thanks to hotel management for birthday card and fruits that my husband received at his birthday.

“Be Alert”

Booked at the last minute for a much needed family break. Transfer 2 hours. Resort found to be just what we needed although some bar staff not very customer friendly and glasses dirty. If you are taking children do not allow them far from you, no matter their age. We found certain staff (technical cleaning employees) very keen to befriend our children, to the extent of following them repeatedly into the toilet facilities or about the pathed area near to the kittens, where one of our children was inappropriately approached and an incident occurred which resulted in management involvement. Management took the report seriously as it is advertised as a family resort and appropriately dealt with one of the staff reported. Children should certainly not be on their own at any time during your holiday.

Room Tip: We chose a higher floor apartment as the resort is within a wooded area.

“Our Holiday from Hell”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

We went to the Marti Myra hotel on a recommendation from the Thomas Cook sales man, who we trusted, as he said that it’s a fantastic family resort and would be ideal for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked to stay at the Radisson Blu the night before the flight and splashed out on a Suite (well worth the extra cash!). Flight was good but the transfer from the airport was over 2 hours. Being a Diabetic traveller I was starting to worry how much longer the transfer would take. When we eventually arrived the hotel looked lovely. We were treated to a drink while we waited to be escorted to our room. We were driven to our room on the back of a golf buggy which was lovely as the rushing wind was cooling after a hot days travel.
Our room was horrid. What I would like to say about the room would not be published, so horrid will have to do. I don’t think I have stayed in a worse room, and believe me I have been in some horrid places. The room was a health hazard; there was mould and dry rot everywhere in the bathroom. The wall sockets were hanging off; there were bare wires on the dryer in the bathroom. There was an open sewer grate in the bathroom which was razor sharp and stank of sewerage. This smell got everywhere and we could smell it on our clothes when we went out.
We met our Reps Neil and Julie the next morning to mention about the state of our room. Before I could mention the problems Julie said it the accommodation that you are complaining about isn’t it. She apologised but said that they would arrange a room move. I argued the fact that the rooms on the web site and brochure do not meet the standards that they are giving to the holiday maker. We were told that we would be moved the next morning.
1 week later we were moved rooms to a deluxe room. It seems that the photos on the web site and brochure are deluxe rooms but it’s not stated as such.
The Thomas Cook Kids club was tiny as this was just a small room at the back of the mini marti. My 6 year old son loved it and Charlie worked hard to keep all the kids entertained.
We found it hard to get a sun bed each day unless you were out before 07:30. Security around the pool was great as many of the other guests just left camera’s and books on the sun beds – no one touched them – you would see them be placed on the beds before breakfast and someone may sit on the bed at about 15:00 when it’s a little cooler. It’s a strange sensation sitting in the middle of tens of empty sun beds with only books, cameras and towels for company.
The Beach is sharp. It’s more like builders hard core and we struggled to find any sand or pebbles. The only safe way to navigate the beach is to use the board walks. A strong must is good beach shoes if you want to go in the sea. The Sea is not as clean as in the Med or the UK so be aware of this.
The evening entertainment is okay but not very well organised. One night there was a magician which was good but he managed to set fire to the curtains. No one seemed bothered until it was about 6 feet tall then all the people just stampeded out of the theatre.
The Food was good and was a highlight of the holiday. We found that all the Restaurant Staff are working their hardest to clear the tables while taking grief from the Russians. We found a very nice and helpful waiter called Husain. He would find you a table and clear it for you. We wrote a staff comment card as we wanted his boss to know how hard he worked.
Would we go again? NO NEVER AGAIN. For the +£3500 we paid we would rather go to Cuba 5* All inclusive. This is a 2* Hotel at best unless you pay more for the Deluxe rooms then is a possible 3.5* hotel. It’s loosing points on hospitality cleanliness and safety. People say a holiday is what you make of it. Believe me we did try our best...

Room Tip: Request a refurbished room or pay the concequesnces.
