“Definitely Going Back!!!”

I have just returned from Majesty Kemer Beach. I travelled with my mother and younger cousin. After reading previous Trip Advisor reviews from previous holiday makers in the UK we began to worry about staying at this hotel for a week. When we arrived, staff at the reception were expecting us and we were in our room within 10 minutes. We stayed in a basic room with 2 twin beds and a sofa bed. The room was spotless and the porter showed us how to work the facilities (air con, shower, safe etc.) and made sure we were settled in before he left.
We never made it to breakfast because of the late nights we had every night but at lunchtimes and evening meals we were waited on attentively. There were many choices of things to eat, the waiters and bar staff were very attentive and as the only English family in the hotel, we became a novelty attraction.
As the hotel is 95% Russian and 5% Turkish, we thought we would have communication problems, which wasn't the case. We had free scuba diving lessons, for a small fee, every watersport was made available and the animation team were very energetic and worked everyday around the pool and at night providing nighttime entertainment.
The grounds were spotless, the location was fantastic (literally on its own private stretch of beach) and just outside the hotel was a line of shops. We made phone calls from the hotel room which were actually cheaper than what we would pay for calls at home.
Its worth every penny and provides entertainment for all age groups. I am 14 and my cousin is 8 and we both had a blast!!!
All in all I would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested.

“10 days of my life I'm never gonna get back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

Just spent 10 days here, (which is 10 days too many) after a disastrous start and being moved from our original booking. The rooms are basic but very dark and dated, the daily maid service was good though (although they did ignore the do not disturb sign). The food was vile, the breakfast was ok if you like tinned fruit and croissants. But lunch and dinner got to the point where me and my husband only ate 1 meal a day, there was no where to eat nearby and being away with a 3 year old restricted us to how far you could travel. The a la carte restaurants (that you are only allowed to visit once during your stay) where you get what you are given, there is no choice or menu's, and what some of that was I have no idea. The russian guests who made up 99% of the guests were very rude, and every meal time was a fight, with even a 3 year old and the 9 year old with the other family we travelled with getting bullied and pushed around when they had waited in line to get somewhere. The childrens entertainment was only geared to the Russians with no effort made to engage with English children. A majority of the hotel staff were very nice and enjoyed talking football with my husband. I would not give this hotel the 3*rating that it has, and I certainly would not recommend it to a friend

“Not for English only speakers or food lovers”

Stayed here after a disasterous start to the holiday - holiday company failed to inform travel agents or us of their cancellation of the accomodation we booked, long story... Arrived at this hotel, which has 5 *'s hanging in the reception but rated as 3 by UK agents. I'd say 3 at a push.

Rooms are small and dated, single beds. Plus point was the balcony, nice to sit and have a drink while watching the regular afternoon monsoons! No problem with maid service, in fact they ignored the do not disturbe sign or more than one occassion. (As a side note on the day we were departing one kindly handed in my daughters favourite Mickey Mouse cuddley toy she had left in her bed).

The food was spectaculary bad - I am the most unfussy of eaters, anything can normally pass my lips, some of this tripe I wouldnt feed my dog. By the end of the holiday I was living off soup for dinner, after skipping lunch & the snacks. Cravings for Pot Noodles says it all. They cater soley for the Russian clients that make up 99.9% of the guests.

I'd never encountered Russians before, I expect this comment may provoke a response or be censored, they were unbelivable in their collective rudeness. Physically pushing past, jumping in line, taking everything they could fit on their plates & subsequently leaving half of it.... Horrible. Im sure there are some generous, well manered & humorous Russians, but they dont go here!

The staff were overall pretty good, they always tried to be helpful. Nothing else to say there.

First time to Turkey, best meal was Burger King in the airport when leaving, I wont return for a while.

“Never ever ever again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2011

We stayed here for a week mid sept 2010. Arrived late evening took about 40 minutes from Kemer airport. Arrived at around 12am turkish time and were shown to our room within 20 minutes. We had paid extra to ensure a double bed and not twin? surprise suprise when we got into our room it was twin beds. My partner went straight to reception and i joined him 10 minutes later where we stayed trying to sort out the room we had paid for untill 4am. The manager had to come straight from his bed in which he could only get us the room we had paid for 2 days later - not a good start. Rooms: fine, very dated but hey we don't tend to spend alot of time in our room except to sleep, hot water, clean towels every day an a lovely maid. There is no main hotel all the rooms are a little like butlins chalets except older. Food absoloutly disgusting very poor catered only for russians, even tho all inclusive we ate out 5 nights out of 7. entertainment very poor all games and fun spoken in russian & german so couldn't join in if you wanted to could hear the entertainment guy over my i-pod he was very annoying. Very close to markets and usual turkish shops. Bar staff really nice & friendly they made our holiday bearable, bar manager talked football wif my partner and made me cocktails and paper roses very funny guy so thanks to him. Shingle beach major pain but pool was nice and sea very warm and enjoyed swimming in the sea. Would never go back would class as a 3 star at a push paid over £600 each complete waste of money. Would never go back even if free holiday offered. Have to say thanks to the manager as after finally sorting out our room he also arranged a very late checkout free of charge, another warning do not use the spa a scottish couple we met tried it and after his sports massage he was left with purple brusies all over his backand in agony, they also had her bag stolen and staff refused to help or call the police or have them on the complex. Do not go here unless you are russian or german.
