My fiance & I were there during the October 2011. This was our first time in Turkey and were looking for a quiet and affordable place. We read some reviews and finally decided on this one. We loved the place! The owners are very friendly and the food is just amazing! Our room had a view of the amphitheatre in Kas and the mediterranean sea. We were (sadly) only there for about three days but we got very good advise on how to make the most of it. This hotel is not in the downtown area which was good because we avoided he bustle and hustle that the downtown area could be. They serve food from the terrace which allows a very nice view of the mediterranean sea and a Greek (Meis I think it is called) island not too far off Kas. We met some some people who were also staying there and some who were coming back because they loved it so much. We recommend it highly and if we find ourselves in Kas we would definitely stay there again. Also, if you are able to go to Kaputas Beach! We promise, you won't regret it!

We chose Hideaway the very last moment: arrived in Kas and, looking for a place to stay, fell in love with that little hotel.
We let our hosts suggest and organize day trips and activities for us, and they were just perfect.
Our favourite during our stay was dining on the terrace: BBQ of daily fished gilthead will remain in my memory for years!!
Lacks: the swimming pool is more a bath tub, but this is not a big deal as the sea is close and the hotel has an agreement with a lido. No elevator.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful! Marie and Ahmed could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms were nice, fresh-looking and clean! The rooftop terrace had the most beautiful views. The meals were delicious and the bar was well-stocked. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a computer available to all the guests which was great. We took a day trip to Meis and our passports were handled by the hotel, so it made our life easier. We decided to rent a car to take us to our next destination and everything was arranged by our gracious hosts. Kas was a delightful town to visit and we will definitely return to the Hideaway Hotel should we find ourselves in Turkey again.

This is an amazing and highly efficient hotel. We stayed 3 nights here in October and the owners, Marie and Ahmed were incredibly helpful and generous. We were picked up when we arrived at the bus station, Ahmed drove us to the start of our walk on the Lycian way, organised car hire and an airport transfer for us, and helped me work out the Turkish keyboard on the computer! But they really shone as outstanding hosts when our hire car was broken into and personal belongings stolen. Ahmed sent one of his English speaking staff (Jean) with my husband to complete the police report ( it took 3 hours) and also gave me his mobile phone to skype numbers I needed to contact in Australia. We were so grateful for the help everyone at the Hideway gave us - it made a bad situation so much easier to deal with.
We had a very comfortable room on the second floor with a view of the sea. But the rooftop terrace is the place to be to watch the sunset! The guest lounge is also off the rooftop terrace and is very comfortable with lounges, TV and free computer with internet. There is also free tea and coffee making facilities upstairs. One last thing which makes the staff and the atmosphere at the Hideaway so special - Ahmed and Marie's baby Aylin is the happiest baby I have ever met! She is often upstairs on the terrace smiling at the guests with Ahmed - it makes the Hideaway a special place.
