We went to Kas Otel last year at the same time and felt that perhaps this time we needed to add a few caviats to other comments.
Yes, Kas Otel has THE BEST setting of any hotel in Kas and that's what sells it. However, it is clear that virtually no re-investment is being put into this property - ie. door locks don't work easily; towels are dreadfully over-washed and have long been ready for replacement; our toilet gave off a back-up smell; 6 coathangers for a double room; no glasses, no chest of drawers, 1 pillow each, 3 beds in a small double room etc. etc. I estimate that £500 per room could transform this small, idyllically set, Kas Otel . Rumour had it that this hotel is under the new ownership of a local olive oil manufacturer who has his job cut out to bring the weary and dated Kas Otel from the 1970's to the present day. As this hotel is always full we shall see what his commitment is to his customer's (rather than his own) comfort is in the next season. The staff are committed and wonderfully hospitable, the setting is glorious and the very nearby town of Kas awaits. Currently I believe that 120 TRY per night (B&B) is a high price for something akin to a high-class hostel when nearby hotels (not quite on the seafront) offer top quality attention to detail at the same (or lower) price. I feel that if a hotel invests in itself, however little, it compliments its visitors. Suggest you have a look at Hotel Linda and Linda Beach.
