This year will be around 20th stay in Kas Otel. My husband's history with this hotel is even longer. Hotel is extremely simple, even below the average, comparing with those compatible. If it is the "style" and "service quality" you're looking for, it is definetely not for you. Then, what makes it so special which cause us keep coming back to this "sort of shabby" place? Because it is almost the unique place in town center which offers its guests the closest view of epic mediterrenian landscape. Kas is famous for its "turquoise blue" sea, which "per se" has a hypnotic and meditating efffect on its viewers. You cannot find any place in town center which is closer to the sea than Kas Otel. The balconies of the Hotel gives the impression that you are actually on board.
To able to walk to practically anywhere in or around the town center is another advantage. In short, in my opinion, the place offers a "nostalgic" mediterranian spirit of 70's and 80's.

Very good location, 2 minutes into town, right on the waterfront. The room was basic but clean on arrival and had air con and a fridge and everything worked, the bed was comfy and it was quiet on a evening . On the down side the room was not cleaned in 5 days. The food was poor, Evening meal overpriced and not well cooked or presented. We were surprised that the guy who has been there for years was not the manager, he was certainly more friendly and knew what was going on in the hotel. Would stay again as just used it as a bed for the night, and it had all we needed.

The sign says beachfront cafe. On walking down to cafe, were told only for residents, so had to go back up to top terrace. We ordered our drinks..... Were not offered a menu... and have been in Turkey now for 3 weeks, and everytime with drinks comes some type of nibblies. Not here. No service... not interested.... We just love the people of Turkey, but would not ever recommend this place, and Kas is a wonderful town... with lovely people. We have been here 4 days now and were very disappointed.
I do hope the management check their reviews as they have a most beautiful spot., and a little service goes such a long way.

We stayed 3 nights here and loved the location. The rooms were small and basic, but they did not once service our room during our stay. At minimum, for $100 TL/day, I would expect fresh towels and the rubbish to be removed. To add to previous comments: 1) there is hot water, but it takes about 10 minutes to get it, 2) the doors do lock, but are tricky. It is a great place, but for the price I would expect better service.
