and, depending which apartment you stay (we were in Magnolia) it looked more like a building site. I would describe 'Paradise' as 'a work in progress'. Our en-suite bathroom had a wall which was still to be rendered and bare wires were hanging loose from it. The sink tap felt like it could come away in your hands at any time and the shower would only dribble water - if you were lucky! The main bathroom shower was much the same and the door handle came off in my husband's hand. We complained on day one that the patio door handle was broken so the door could not be secured, making us feel vulnerable when going out. Despite a couple of reminders and assurances it would be sorted, it never was. We were promised an ironing board cover, which did not materialise and we also had problems disposing of our rubbish. We also had to ask for the apartment to be cleaned - on day 7 and even then, they missed the en-suite.
It was a little frustrating being on holiday and having to 'clock-watch' in order to keep to the shuttle bus pick-up times and although you could ask to be picked up outside of these times, you had to pay (15L - 20L).
Despite the lack of attention to detail, I can say that the bar staff and the lovely couple and their son, Mehmet running the restaurant together with the shuttle bus drivers were friendly and accommodating.
Paradise is in a lovely position but unless you have your own car your movements are limited and careful planning is required if you wish to use the free shuttle. Kalkan is lovely and the people are extremely friendly and helpful wherever you go. The restaurants are superb and the quality of the food is excellent. I would return to Kalkan but would definitely position myself closer to the town.
