“Amazing hotel, do not go if your british”

Had a lovely weeks holiday with my partner and 3 children. The food is absolutley amazing and the complex itself is beautiful with great pools and slides for the kids. HOWEVER, the night life is utter crap. We are a young couple with kids who like evening entertainment. There is a minidisco 6pm-7pm which is completley in German, then there is entertainment in the ampitheatre for a couple of hours. You can't drink in there and it is not even translated in English. After this dire entertainement, we ended up sitting in a little bar with a TV on in German. Everyone was wearing coats and scarves playing cards and drinking coffee while we were dressed up to have a good night. We were in bed every night for half past nine. The bar staff were very rude to us. One waiter in particular refused to serve my partner. I,m assuming it was because he was English. Very embarrassing. If the night life had been good, we would have booked to come here every year, as everything else is perfect. We wont be coming back here. Also feel the need to mention in the family room, we were all in the same room. There was no separate area at all, which was not ideal with the age of my children and also for some privacy for me and my partner!

“Best holiday ever i LOVED it!”

We visited Kamelya World at the start of september 2011 with a toddler and teen. It was amazing, a gorgeous hotel, so clean, spectacular food! & nothing was really bad at all. I stayed in the holiday village which was lovely to stay in, clean but very basic, although we was never in the room anyway.
When the coach pulled up outside the hotel the hole bus was shocked on how beautiful the hotel looked, when we got of the coach we signed in and got took to our room by a buggy straight away. As the week went by it was great we spent most days either being on the beach or at the Aqua Park. Although at night i felt that the entertainment wasn't really aimed for the english and infact i found it quite boring, so we spent most nights at the lovely hotel bar which was open all night and even had a midnight snack bar, which was lovely. It was sooo clean, there wasn't a piece of rubbish about and the floors were unbelivably shiny.
We had a great time but two things that i didn't really like was that most guests there was forgien and they treated you like dirt!! But apart from that i would say it was my dream holiday and i would LOVE to return again!!

Room Tip: Pay for the more expensive priced rooms because the cheapest ones looked light concrete huts!

travelled with my husband sons of 19 and 21 and my sons girlfriend 21.first impressions as you drive up to resort is wow the fuller is amazing site all lit up and everyone on the coach said wow. check in fast and was taken to our rooms by golf buggy we had a delux family room and a delux room. the delux family room was very spacious four beds two televisions sliding door between two sections and a stocked mini fridge really nice and very clean maid was great did towel art on beds.the delux room again very spacious large balcony one problem was the seal leaked on the balcony when it rained had to put towels down.
The first day very hot breakfast was good fresh pancakes omlettes fresh juice lots fruit breads and jams
.easily found sunbeds at 930 pool area amazing lads loved the slides had great fun jacuzzis nice to, shame swim up bar shut.
Animation going on throughout day but the germans monopolise everything and unfortunately the animation team allow them to do it.
Evening entertainment went to moma mia that ok ,sketches was not very good and wanted to watch gala evening however there was belly dancers with snakes so i gave it a miss as i dont like them.other evening entertanment was a singer in dragon bar and something in sea bar.we tended to spend our evenings playin cards in the dragon bar this is nice place but only wine and beer or fuller bar,or nazar outdoor terace.
There was no problem with pushing for food or drinks, service very good.Afternoon pool snacks good variety chips, burgers, kebab meat, jacket potatoes late afternoon. Also get food in dragon bar lunch time southern frid chicken and chips very nice, babacue did lots of salade ,pasta and chicken and next door did pizza, chips, burgers kebabs so lots choices.
evenin food good always fresh pizza ,chicken, chips ,rices, lots of foods in sauces some good some not so.you get choice 1 alacarte per week free we chose chinese it was very good lovely food shame wasent better evening very windy and as there is litle shelter spoilt it a little book early for these resterants else wont get in.
Bowling ok cost 7 lira each game played twice .Lads played tennise coarts free but need book but charge 15 lira for the three rackets and balls .
football pitches not available as getting ready for football camps but played on the basketball court and on tennise court.
The biggest diapointment was we couldnt watch the england football game anywere every tv had the same game turkey via germany on but as this is 58 percent german resort 7 percent english you can se why.
dont let negatve reviews put you of as it is a very nice place and the good points are far more than the bad if you want a nice holiday in the sun with nice pools good food go here if you want all british entertainment and people stay away.
The weather mixed four really hot days mid thirties one windy day rain thunder late on,one day heavy rain thunder storms and last day mixed sun in morn then cloud then very heavy rain on way airport.
last point would i return yes probuly not for few years already have plans and i would go september not october to avoid rain.have fun if you choose this hotel

Room Tip: family delux rooms lovely try get blocks 1500 good for everything

“Lovely hotel complex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

Stayed at Kamelya world in early September. Weather was 35-40c.
Hotel staff were a little slow checking us in as the booking was done by a family friend and they were a little confused, but once this was dealt with we were swiftly taken to our room.
Room was clean and large with a lovely bathroom and even lovelier view of the sea. Our only gripe was the air con was not as powerful as we'd have personally liked, but this may have been due to the sheer heat at the time.

Hotel restaurant was nice, though getting a table is troublesome if you go in peak hours (we went to breakfast/lunch/tea later or as soon as it opened). Food quality was very good and a great selection. Loved it.
We did goto the Mexican ala-carte restaurant, but don't expect the same quality there! We were a little disappointed with that and the service was not brilliant- perhaps because they have only recently started doing the mexican food.

Beach is 100-200 yards away and kept clean and tidy. The beach itself is lucious.

Swimming pools are very nice, clean and kept with bars by all the pools. Some of the bars have free wifi too (as does the Selin inside bar).

There is a game room with bowling, pool and some video games (Fairly old ones) which was fun. Also a disco, various shops, hair dresser, a gym, a few Spas and an expensive jewellers- too expensive for us.

We took a bus (3.5 lira) into Side and had a walk around. Nice little town with good history.
We also took a Thomas Cook trip, the Manavgat Cruise. This was a let down. The trip was sold as a 45 minute each way cruise on the Manavgat river, but it was more like 30 minutes each way. The food on the boat was nice. We then were taken by bus to Manavgat street market where we had 135 minutes - 115 minutes too long. Then taken to a inside Textile shop for 1 hour (1 hour too long). After which we were taken to "Manavgat Niagra falls" - this was a nice end to an otherwise pointless trip- a lesson learned!

Besides that we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again in the future.

“4 Teenagers & 4 Adults and we had a fantastic time !!!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 teenagers (14, 15, 16, 17) who stayed in the holiday village. After reading some of the negative reviews we were a little worried that it would not be as good as we thought however we couldnt be more wrong.

This was our first all inclusive and we loved every minute of it. The food was lovely with lots of choices for all - the kids loved the spaghetti bolganise and if you wanted to you could eat all day. There were 3 really good food bars near the beach not to mention all the other opitons that the previous reviewer has mentioned, water and juice were also avaialble on the beach. The drinks flowed all night and the cocktails in the hotel were lovely.

We quite liked the fact that brits were in the minority as after all we were on holiday. The only downside was that we booked together and requested rooms near each other and they could not have been further away if they had tried. Our friends got one of the new superior rooms although found the foyer area noisy, and we got one of the old family rooms which was quiet but very much in need of updating (my daugher only got a Z bed). In hindsight we shouldve complained and got moved as this was not what we had booked but we had unpacked before we discovered our friends room was totally different and we didnt spend much time in the room anyway.

There was a bit of a problem with the reception staff not understanding much english but again we managed ok. We all enjoyed it so much that are thinking about returning next year and if we dont the kids want to save up and go back on their own.

The only thing i would say to anyone who is going - Take euros as we took lyra and no one really wanted them. Also you have to have vacated your own room before you can book a late check out as this is provided in one of the smaller double rooms and allocated on a first come, first served basis - ours had not been cleaned from the previous guests.

We would all recommend kamelya world to others especially if you have teenagers as it offers them some much freedom in a relatively safe environment. Fantastsic Holiday

Room Tip: check out your room before you unpack
