“Good 3* hotel, well located for old town and trams”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

We stayed for 3 nights HB and enjoyed it. Food is good, staff are helpful. Lovely warm pool surrounded by orange trees. Sea warm also. Its well located for the old town and trams and buses once you understand how it works (we struggled at first - few maps nor info and every time a bus stops there's a debate with the driver about where its going, even with the locals) Hotel is about 100 m down an alley (clearly labelled 1302 off the main caddesi or avenue circling the old town). Safe enough during the day and evening but wouldn't be so comfortable looking for it for the first time in the early hours. Tip - we travelled up ourselves on the bus from Alanya, easy, but the Antalya coach station is miles up to the north of town but has a signposted tram stop about half a mile away which takes you to the corner of the old town where it is within sight of the other tram line. We found no public transport to the airport so took a taxi back for about £17. Public bus trips to Lara beach and the other beach (kontalki ? or soomething) are recommended. Antalya suffered from a few pesky flies while we were there, there appeared to be a lack of collection of rubbish which probably didn't help, but not enough to prevent a recommendation.

“Great budget hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

I was very much impressed with this hotel and its overall high standard! This hotel is indeed a budget hotel, so dont expect amazing things, but we had a great room, big bed, fresh sheets, nice shower! The A/C was a bit dodgy and the TV didnt work, but we didnt care it was fine.
The pool is great and sitting in the sun next to the pool under the orange trees was lovely! We had half board and the breakfast and dinner were just lovely! Again, its a budget hotel so dont expect high quality ingredients, but expect a new main course every night and a refreshing breakfast - very Turkish. For those that write on here about the bad style of food - shame on you - its Turkey, expect Turkish cooking and food! Only issue we had, that turned into a bit of fun in the end was one of the older waiters would take your plates and drinks if not by your table (i.e. getting more food from the buffet) and get new ppl to sit there.... strange guy and a bit moody, but thats his way.. :-)
Beer's at the top end of prices (6TL) for Antalya! But what do you expect in a budget hotel! they have to make money some how and its worth it. They ask you not to bring food/drink from the outside, so expect this and dont be suprised by it. Rules are rules.
The best thing about this hotel has to be the location. We had trouble finding it... they could do with investing in some signage, so best take a printed Map of the hotel location before you go, and dont be put of by the lead up to the hotel, its like a little oasis in the middle of a city! Situated next to the old town and 1min from the tram stop that can take you to the beach, although we walked (1hr ish).

“Excellent base for exploring Antalya”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

From the outside this is not impressive, the street is very grubby. But once inside the hotel is a gem. Rooms are small but comfortable, the food is good & the staff excellent.

Very happy with this hotel & would certainly return.

“Overrated hotel in the center of Antalya”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

That s a correct accommodation but I think 3 stars is overrated. It has the comfort of a youth hostel not more. Staff was not very professional, over friendly always wanting to sell us things. The quality of breakfast was horrible. Difficult to find such tasteless food in a country like Turkey. I would have preferred to stay in an actual youth hostel at least the atmosphere would be much much better. I thought I was paying cheap for a fairly good hotel but the price is normal for what you get.
Antalya city center is not the best on the coast. Try to stay at Olympos or Kas/Kalkan.

The first apearance of the hotel was deceptive.as up a side street.but just around corner from main throughfare. the choice for breakfast was very good as was the buffet in the evenings pleanty of salads and barbeque in evening. i stayed for 10 nights with two teenage children. room was basic but clean you could up grade we had a superior room. There was some entertainment on a couple of evenings but a film was show most evenings sat outside on beanbags watching a movie was a novelty for kids.staff were extremley helpfull both at reception and bar. would go again and recommend this hotel
