“If you value your health, don't go here”

This is THE most disgusting hotel I have ever had to spend an hour in (we left in disgust). Do not stay here!!!! I had to give a rating of 1 as it is the lowest I can find - if I could give minus ratings I would

We had booked via our Medhotels rep a last night stay after a boat trip and our flight home. On arrival, we were asked to hand over our passports to the reception - left on display right by the entrance to the hotel, when we refused to leave them there they took copies and we had to really fight to get them back when we left.

The room doesn't even qualify as a room, it was a mouldy smelly cupboard. The shower doors were broken, the floor was cracked, it stank of mould, there was mould on the ceiling, the toilet had not been cleaned, the sink had not been cleaned. To top it all off the area wasn't safe. There were safety pins on the bed and being there made my skin crawl. To top it all off our Medhotels rep turned his phone off (if you have Osman as your rep - good luck!) and no one else seemed to know who to speak to - we were sent round in circles to Thomas Cook, Medhotels, back to Thomas Cook (who then denied they ever sent people there which isn't true!). In the end we gave up and spent the night at the airport.

we booked by a trvel agency. when we arrived there they claimed there was no booking like that. 'cos they had given up working with that agent called 'masmavi turizm'. that tour is also cheater like the hotel itself. when we entered in there was a disgusting smell covering whole the hotel.

“Dont Go”

i stayed here for a few hours while we waited for a late flight as part of a last day excursion. it was just somewhere for us to go for tea, have a shower and a quick nap before the flight. upon arrival we had to give our passports until we left, they got put on a shelf behind the counter, easy for anyone to get. as we were eating tea we had a mass of ants surounding the table. after tea i went up for a shower, the shower door wouldn't close as the toilet was too close to the shower base. the sink had 3 cracks in it, and the soap dispensers fell off the wall when used. the worst thing about this hotel is the noise. it is literally 10 minutes away from the airport and is in route of the planes, the planes were going o low we managed to take a photo of one going above. if your going to antalya go to a quiet area, we stayed in kemer, about 1 hr from the airport. turkey is a beautiful country dont let a hotel spoil it.

“Don't bother”

I just wanted to share our experience of the Lara Plaza Hotel. We were very disappointed to say the least. Website said 4 bars - only 1 was open. Website said 250 metres from beach - good 15 mins walk. Website said minibar - empty small fridge old and dirty. Food very basis, everyday was some kind of hotpot. Soup everyday for starters. Melon or orange for dessert. Balconies so small only 1 chair on them as they were triangle shaped. Website said all rooms had seaview. Not true. The pool was clean but the surrounding areas were never cleaned. They washed glasses with hand under running water. They wiped plates with huge white tables clothes. There was dead flies by the food. No entertainment whatsoever either in hotel or surrounding areas. Dreadful noise overhead from planes. The Company we met up with were wonderful and without them, I don't what know what we have done. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

“Room for improvement”

The Lara Paza Hotel is a nice hotel, the pool is large and clean and the rooms are air conditioned and furnished to a reasonable standard, however, the service throughout the hotel is shokingly poor. If the waiters could get away with any less they would, the cutlery was dirty the glasses (used for the free bar drinks) were lipstick stained and slimey - YUK! They were surley and unhelpful. The receptionists could not speak English - fair enough they are Turkish in Turkey but it is an international Hotel and it is quite unusual for them not to!

The food is servered as a buffett and is very unorganised, the hot food (various chicken stews twice a day) is at one end of the long table and then there is a free-for-all for the cold salads (cabage and pulses - picked or in lots of oil). Remeber this hotel is not full of nice polite Brits / Yanks etc so be ready to be pushed out of the way and que jumped.

We went to the hotel with a totally open mind as we got a really good deal for an AI week mid season so we were not disapointed by the standard of the hotel at all, in truth, we still think we got a good deal but if you pay full price you are going to be let down.

Just to warn yo the Turkish play loud rap mucis by the pools and beaches - the langue is filthy and shocking and I used to live in in East London!

There is not a hotel beach as stipulated in the brochure but a beach that is used by all of the hotels in the area (guessing by the volume of people - all 1,000,000 hotels) we did find a very nice quite beach - the Ofo Tower's hotel beach - follow the signs from the Ofo Tower, when you think you are lost carry on as you think you are in a milatry zone then all of a sudden you are there.

We also found a most amazing resturant (good priced - £20.00 for 2 mixed grills 2 glasses of wine and 2 bottles of water), it is the one by the water falls, you can over look the falls and have dinner - Bliss.

Everywhere takes Euros, New and Old Turkish Lira, $ and £.

Have fun - we did - but go with a very open mind.

If you need any more info let me know.
