“Great hotel staff let it down :-(”

Great place loads of pools to lounge by plenty of sun beds. Room was good except the rock hard beds!!!!!! Food was good BUT When you go for your tea its a fight for a table then a fight to get a glass and knives and forks just spoiled it so bad the waiters just did nothing to help. If you asked them to get you something they just nod and walk off and never get you a glass or cuttlery!! Dirty tables uncleared half eaten stuff everywere just a nightmare. Some nights we found a table out side on the rased up area and you could not see what you were eating as it was so dark!!! The service in this hotel really lets it down sooooo bad :-( If you don't tip you won't get served and that is every were, snack bar pool bar, and lobby bar. Rude Russians and Germans as per usual! This hotel could be amazing if they just sorted there staff out. They have an open air disco of a night thats on until 2am was good but not if you wanted an early night you cold hear it from you room :-(. Beach was nice with a bar and low music. Beach sports. Entertainment of a night was abit hit and miss did enjoy some of the shows very much but others were crap.

Room Tip: Ask for pool view by the villas. Far away from disco thats on untill 2am every night!!!

First of all, we would to thank our guest to choose IC HOTELS Green Palace for their vacation and for taking the time to inform us about their comments. We do appreciate hearing from our guests, as their comments are vital for us to continue improving our ccommodations.
The problems that the Guest mentioned have been brought to the attention of our responsible departments. While the lack of service our Guest experienced is unusual and not the Standard of our Hotel, there is no excuse for an unexpected service.
Many thanks to our guests for the comments. We hope that they will give us another chance to serve.

Kind Regards,

“Great Hotel”

We are a family of two adults with a 5 year old girl and stayed at this hotel for two weeks in June 2011 and had a great time. The hotel is about 20 mins walk along the beach from the resort centre but we liked this. The highlights for us were: The hotel grounds and pool areas were very well maintained; The food in the buffet restaurant was fantastic and of high quality, and just about as good as the speciality restaurants. The shows brought in from the outside were very good. Our daughter also loved the ice cream. We've been going on holiday for years but never to the same hotel twice - we enjoyed this one so much that we're going to break with tradition and go back this year.

“Nice relaxing place.”

IC Green Palace -

I came here in June 2011, the place is gorgeous all around with lovely staff - i read reviews of staff being rude but i didnt find this at all. (all they want is a thankyou / please as they do work there very hardest all DAY)

** The only rude people there was the russian's on holiday (they look at you like a peice of dirt, push infront of you and have no manners at all - so be warned! **

The rooms where cleaned daily and we had very nice maids who we had a laugh with, we also had a laugh with the restaurant manager who talked to us everynight and made sure we was ok - probably cos ive got a muscley boyfriend (in which they love worked out people, ha)

I would say this holiday is for relaxing as there is not much about outside of the complex only shops unless your prepared to travel to go clubbing but whats the point when you can get ale and entertainment at night here.

The food wasnt english, couldnt get a fry up like over in the UK or Spain but it was still nice to eat.

The holiday overall was good! :)

“Beautiful grounds, but pool area is dangerous.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Stayed in early September with my boyfriend after looking at the good reviews here. Had a lovely holiday, and the hotel in general was beautiful, however the service and a couple of simple things made the hotel average when it could have so easily have been fantastic.

Main worry was the tiling around the pool area which was incredibly slippery when wet. My boyfriend slipped in the first hour of us being at the hotel, and by the end of the first morning I had slipped and consequently broken my elbow, which obviously spoiled the holiday. There was another woman there in a cast by the end of our stay and I would have been very concerned to have children running around - I can't believe there weren't more injuries. Hotel staff asked if I had injured myself onsite (I had a very visible full arm cast), which I confirmed to them, and I was disappointed that no-one had spoken to us about the injury and how it had happened. Having said that the onsite doctor/medical service was very good - if extremely expensive - thank goodness for travel insurance!

Pros: Beautiful pools, and stunning grounds, with plenty to explore over a week. The a la carte restaurants were a good choice to get away from the often quite busy main dining room. Bars were fairly quiet and we always managed to get a table and served quickly. Room was beautifully clean and maintained throughout the trip.

Cons: Disappointed with no double beds - only twin beds pushed together with no double bedding which was not very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well throughout the day but was incredibly poor at night - i think they may have turned this over between 3am - 10am and the room was uncomfortably hot in the mornings. While we didn't expect perfect English, communication with the staff was very difficult - especially with reception who we expected to be able to understand any problems we had. Not the hotels fault but other guests were very selfish with sunbeds - reserving more than one per person and taking 2 or three cushions off other sun beds leaving the empty wooden beds unusable.

We did enjoy our holiday, but there were a few small complaints that we never felt were addressed - perhaps due to the language difficulties we felt we were being 'fobbed off' quite regularly. While we enjoyed our stay, I wouldn't return as I feel there would be a better value for money option nearby. Would have wanted to rate this higher than a 3 for the money we paid, and would certainly be concerned about the Health & Safety of the surrounding pool tiling -especially with children or older guests.

“Great Hotel and Facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

I stayed here for a week in October as part of a large family group. Im not easily impressed nor do I moan unless needed so i think that this is a fair review.

First of all yes the hotel is full of Russians, Turkish and Eastern Europeans. If you dont like the fact they are not the same as us in terms of manners and queueing then avoid Turkey in general (much the same that people avoid Spain because the Brits take it over)

The Hotel is massive, the rooms are more than adequate but you only really need a bed and bathroom anyway. The room we had was on the new part and the balcony had enough room for two and a table. The balcony on the other side of the hotel rooms are tiny so if you want to sit on it then ask in advance for the new side. There are plenty of pools but they are freezing.....almost arctic cold. Im sure its helpful in the summer. I am not sure if this is because it was October though it may be different in the summer months. The hotel has its own private beach with a bar but the bar only serves beer, wine and raki. Wasnt an issue for me but it might be for some

The food was great. Breakfast there was always, eggs, omelettes, sausages (the turkish type) fresh fruit and toast. They even did cheese on toast which i havent seen before. Anybody who says there isnt enough choice went to a different hotel, there is loads. Evenings there was 2 seperate BBQ's, fresh fish, fried fish and even a kids section. We tried the a la carte restaurants and the Mexican was the best, the Chinese is also very nice. There is more than enough and i consider myself fairly fussy with food on holiday.

Drinks are very good, local beer is Efes and they serve everything you could need. Barcardi etc are local versions but there is no difference in taste after a few. I got a bit merry a few nights so can vouch for the alcohol content!! Also free mini bar in the room with beer and branded coke, sprite fanta and also water.

Sometimes the staff can seem distant but they are so used to rude guests not saying please and thank you that i can hardly blame them. I found that once you spoke to them they were more than happy to help you out with whatever you needed.

All in all its a very good resort, 20 minutes walk from the centre. The hotel has more than enough to keep you amused. People will alwats say its not a 5* and by British standards maybe it isnt but it cannot be faulted for trying. Would certainly go again.
