Having read great reviews from several sources about this guest house we were severely disappointed with our stay.

The level of cleanliness is the room was extremely poor. We had doubts the room had been completely cleaned when we arrived and when we asked we were curtly told that cleaning was only once a week. According to the manager “you don’t even get daily cleaning in 5 star hotels” which led us to doubt the quality of hotel management understood by the owners of La Paloma.

There were also several problems with smells in the hotel which were blamed by management on the poor sewerage structures around Kaleci, although the smell didn’t seem to extend beyond the hotel.

Staff were for the most part unhelpful and rude. The room was small and cramped and the swimming pool was tiny.

The one positive was the breakfast served in the garden which was very good with beautiful cheeses and vegetables.

The location of the La Paloma is also fine although everything in Kaleci is within walking distance of each other so you are likely to find better priced, cleaner, more welcoming accommodation anywhere in Kaleci.

We had a corner room in this small hotel in the "old town" section. The staff were helpful and let us check in very early. The room had a nice breeze and overlooked the courtyard with the pool. The pool area was nice (my wife was tired from traveling and had a great afternoon lounging by the pool). The room was good, and a very good value. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Myself, my husband and our 2 friends stayed at this Pansion for 2 WEEKS and we cannot fault a single thing. Food is FAB, rooms are FAB,staff are FAB. Ata (manager) gave us a night of free food and drink for the four of us then 2 days later he took the four of us out for a evening meal to Duden falls which he paid and at the end of our stay personally took us to the airport in his car. We wish to thank all the staff for a FANTASTIC HOLIDAY and we will be back...This pansion is the best place to just chill out and we started to call it our hotel and wanted it all to ourselves..FANTASTIC PLACE

I have just returned from a holiday in Antalya and was extrememly disappointed with the Paloma Pansion which is now under Turkish management. Although we had booked two twin rooms for two nights for myself and husband and two teenagers (girl aged 19 and boy aged 16) back in January - and had confirmed booking by phone the week before travelling, on arrival at 10pm we were told there was only one small double room available. We were then offered a room in another hotel for the teenagers but the room contained only one three quarters size double bed. I said this was not suitable so they were given another room with two beds but a filthy carpet and a tiny bathroom. No apologies were offered and when we came to pay our bill we were first charged for three nights, instead of two, and were expected to pay 50 euros for the dirty room in the inferior hotel. When we queried the price La Paloma management turned quite nasty and refused to speak to us for the rest of our stay.
In brief: a lovely hotel which is best avoided until the management improves.
