“First class service-Stunning hotel!”

Please take time to read this this hotel is amazing!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon in Sept 2011 and we both had the time of our lives! The hotel is absolutely amazing! We had a first class experience as soon as we got there :) We were placed in a room with a lovely view overlooking the beach and the pool area, which we both thought was going to be very loud at night time but it wasnt! The room was very clean and the maids came everyday and changed the bedding re stocked the mini bar and gave clean towels. When we arrived in our room we had a lovely welcome pack with ballons and lots of offers for the hotel including a free meal at the fish restaurant at the hotel (which was gorgeous) as we were on honeymoon (when we booked the hotel we told them it was out honeymoon) we also got 15% off everything in the hotel as well as it was our honeymoon. After settling into the room we were then greated with a bottle of bubbly and a love heart cake courtsey of the hotel!

We paid to go bed and breakfast but in hindsight we should have paid to go half board as the hotel restaurants are quite pricey but we didnt expect anything less in the hotel- we actually ended up eating most nights at the buffet at night- it was around 90tl for 2 obviously all you can eat and a drink each which when you work it out is'nt that much- there was plenty of choice and all the food was lovely- we also ordered room service alot which was very quick and again lovely! The breakfast buffet is amazing so much choice!

The pool area is also very nice- the sun loungers are like matresses and bean bags and very comfortable! the whole pool area was very clean- the waiters/waitresses came round with free ice cream, corn on the cob and cool towels (different each day) which we though was a nice touch- the pool bar has some lovely food as well and again not overly priced! If you buy water from the pool bar it was 4tl for a big bottle which we took up to our room as the mini bar in your room was 2tl for a small bottle!

We didnt venture out of the hotel that much we went for a Turkish bath through out tour operator which we were quite disappointed with as every time we ve had a Turkish bath before we have had it done together but here we were split into men and women so the 4 hours we were there we hardly saw each other! I have read a few times that Turkish baths in hotels themselves men and woman can have together but outside hotels and resorts then men and women are seperated! We also went on a boat trip as well which was good- all inclusive food and drinks but we only stopped off to swim.

There isnt much around the hotel- we found one other place were we went and had a drink most nights on the beach front- but you can get taxi/bus into antalya its self which is a bit more lively but we didnt bother as we went to relax and we found everything we needed in the hotel!

The only thing we found wrong with hotel was that we had a late flight on the way back home and we had to check out of the room at 12pm our flight wasnt until 2am that night- we asked if we could pay for a late check out as or rep suggested but the hotel was full so we had to mill around the hotel for 12 hours! they let you use the hotel facilities and in the gym/spa area there are showers etc but it was a bit of a farce having to lug things in and out of suitcases for the rest of the day-they keep your suitcases in a holding room and you can go in and out and get to your things, but we had to sit in the lobby waiting to be picked up which was a bit boring but the beds are quite relaxing! One more thing the mini bar in your room is very expensive! Be careful what you use etc i think the razor in the bathroom was about £20!

All in all this is a lovely hotel very modern, great service, and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone! The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble! A first class experience and would definitely re visit in the future!

“Brilliant hotel”

This hotel was fantastic and I went with one of my friends. We had a great time relaxing by the pool on beds! Then having cocktails at the beach bar at happy hour. The food was good and lots of selection. Just one thing the location is not great but there is a shopping centre close by if you need some retail therapy and a waterpark next door. I would definitely recommend to friends and family

“Second time around not a charm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

I had stayed at this hotel with my wife back in Nov. 2010. We had a suite overlooking the ocean with uncharacteristically warm weather. We really enjoyed our stay. The service was good and we really enjoyed the food. The hotel was not full at the time, so the atmosphere was somewhat relaxed.

Fast forward to June 2011 and I revisited the hotel when I was in the area for business. This time, I had a room overlooking the courtyard as the hotel was at full capacity. I offered to pay for an upgrade, but none was available. The hotel is definitely more geared towards couples as it wasn't as much fun being alone.

The beach area is quite nice, although not the sandy beaches I prefer. The water is very clear and there is service to the beach chairs, although service was somewhat spotty on my second stay. The pool area can get full quite quickly, so you need to plan accordingly. A mobile phone charging station by the outdoor bar is handy. In the evening there are live music performances by the beach bar.

I had a traditional hammam treatment at the spa, which was good. The relaxation area is peaceful and the hot ginger tea was a nice way to end the massage.

As for the rooms, they are very white and minimalist. My wife was not a fan of the decor, but the bed was comfortable which is one of the most important things for me. The outdoor balcony has a nice sized sofa to lounge, but again if you are facing a courtyard, not much to look at.

I would recommend the hotel if you can get a good deal in the off-season.

Room Tip: Definitely get a room facing the sea.

Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. As Hillside Su is a city hotel, some of our rooms have land-facing views. We would have definitely been more than happy to offer you a room change during your visit, had we been able to.

We appreciate you choosing to stay with us again and are glad that you enjoyed the rest of our amenities and services. We look forward to welcoming you again.

“Stay somewhere else if you want real luxury”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Not as great as the reviews say. We found the strange minimalist modernist design uncomfortable and not welcoming.

The bedrooms were lacking in tables or shelves or anywhere to put things, and the unrelenting white shows up all the scuff marks. The twin room was a double with two mattresses next to each other. Food was ok, but nothing very Turkish about it. Only 1 pool. Wifi was only free if you sat in the lobby on the strange white sofas.

The beach was very quiet, definitely the off season with not much going on.

That said, the spa was lovely and the massage very good.

Room Tip: get a room with a sea view or morning sun, not the ones overlooking the noisy water park or the road...

Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback. The utmost comfort of our guests is also extremely important to us, and we have reiterated the incidences of lack of cleanliness with our housekeeping staff to ensure it will not happen again. Service and friendliness is a number one priority, and we focus on training everyone to embrace this to the highest level. We assure you that this is a rare occurrence and will strive even harder to prevent such incidences in the future.

Our approach is all about a modern design distinguished with contemporary details, and these soothing tones are meant to transport you away from the fast pace of city life, so you can fully relax and have fun while on holiday. Hillside Su Hotel is located at Konyaalti, which is 4km from the city center and should take only 10 minutes of travel.
