Thanks to tuvana team that they turned our holiday into a romantic escape, and memorable experience. We were expecting a lot, but the service, ambiance, design, decor were far better than it is displayed. Don't miss, if you got bored of the rush of giant hotels in the region, lack of quality.

We stayed in the Tuvana for 4 nights in Jan 2012. The hotel is in an excellent location in Old Town, centrally located, but still in a quiet spot. Its a bit hard to find the first time, as its on an alleyway. The breakfast is excellent with a variety of fresh and hot items. The staff is excellent and was able to help us plan two day trips and answer our questions about the area.

We also took the Havas airport shuttle, but didn't realize how far away from old town and the Tuvana hotel we would be dropped (it was a long hike, and we got lost). Its doable if you know your way around town already, but I would not recommend it for a first time visitor or someone with more luggage than a carry-on.

This hotel is in an ideal location not far from the clock tower in the old city.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room, above the restaurant, which was extremely comfortable. We used the hotel as a base whilst we explored the wider area and the delightful harbour and town itself. It was a relief to return exhausted to luxurious surroundings. The room contained refrigerator, air conditioner, TV, king bed with a modern bathroom with shower/bath.

All staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of food. We enjoyed our five days and plan to return to the Tuvana in the near future.

We made the mistake of boarding the Havas airport bus which dropped us 2km away from the hotel at night. It was rather difficult to make our way to the hotel, so avoid that mistake.

Hotel is old, charming, with winding steps and no elevators (which makes lugging your luggage a hassle). Room is not too big but just nice, with an accompanying balcony which offers a lovely view of the streets. You will be awaken each morning by the Islamic call to prayer which is a charming way to start the morning. Bathroom is clean and modern. But the best bit has to be the breakfast buffet which is in a building opposite the hotel. The spread offered is generous and wide.Best of all, there is a beautiful little cat, who seems a permanent fixture at the dining room, who will accompany you and beg for scraps.
