“Shame about the saggy bed and loud noise to 2.00am”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

This small 8 room hotel is in a great location in the old town. The staff speak only a little English but were eager to help. Our room was clean and a little rustic with floor boards and decorated in the old style. There was no refrigerator but a large bottle of water supplied on the first day. The room was air-conditioned. The bathroom was small with a small shower cubical. There was a small swimming pool and nice outdoor seating areas and bar. Wi Fi was free. There was no TV in the room. The bed was very soft and sagged in the middle and the curtains did not cover the windows properly. The breakfast was basic with no choices as we received a dinner plate size plate of a selection of fresh fruit, cold meat, cheese, tomato, cucumber, olives, jam, honey and butter. Toast was bought out separately and we were served tea or coffee. No juice or water was offered. If you are a big breakfast eater you may still be hungry after this breakfast, see my photo. The biggest problem was the noise from a local bar or disco and with no double glazing the noise was loud until 2.00am every night. Would not stay here again because of the noise and uncomfortable bed.

“Nice, but noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

My husband and I with another couple spent 2 nights (Fri and Sat) at this hotel in October 2011. The hotel itself is charming, very clean with spacious and beautifully appointed rooms in a rustic, authentic Turkish style. The staff, though speaking little English were keen for our stay to be pleasant and were approachable and helpful. A basic breakfast was included in the tarrif served with either black tea or apple tea - milk available upon request. The centre of the old town is just outside the gate and the only down side was the loud disco music that penetrated our shuttered windows and went until 1-2 am. Being night owls helped, but as the hotel stay came at the midpoint of our rather hectic two weeks of travelling, we would have appreciated a quieter location. For the sake of the owners and their business I hope the disco is shut down as I'm sure the noise affects many of the old town hotels.

“Quaint hotel in the heart of Antalya”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

I had my reservations when I read old reviews of this hotel, but travel agent assured me it was good. It was one of the better boutique hotels I stayed in during my 8 days trip in Turkey. Arrived late evening, was welcomed with a cup of apple tea, and then taken to my room, which was quite spacious and clean. Bathroom was provided with all of the extras you would find in a larger hotels. I had a good night's sleep and there was no noise, even though there was a club at the side, and the hotel is right in the heart of a shopping district. Morning breakfast was very good - typical turkish breakfast - out in the open courtyard.

Obviously owners take pride in the property and are very hospitable to guests. There were not many people at the hotel, so it was quiet. I would consider staying here again.

“So difficult to review!”

My Mother and i planed a special holiday to Kaleici. Mum had visited the town for a day trip back in Oct 08 and fell in love with this beautiful hotel. As soon as she returned she booked us in (via email) for a 9 night stay in May. We has issues prior to getting there, as when we contacted to confirm the booking they had no information on our stay. All was fine as they had space-however, one evening we would be transported to another hotel due to a wedding that had booked the rooms...not ideal, but we were not too bothered. However with great sadness we did not get to the night in question. Upon arrival (11.30pm) we noticed noice coming from a nearby bar/club-however, we dismissed it as was still relatively early. However-by 4am, when the windows and lights in our room were vibrating from the mad Techno style music, we were somewhat less dismissive. By the end of two nights my mother and i had had no sleep and were starting to feel fed up!
The hotel staff were FANTASTIC and the hotel itself was a WONDERFUL place to be-other than between 23.00 and 4.00.
The staff quickly found us somewhere else to stay ( a beauiful hotel on the other side of the small town), they were obviously very sad by the issue-one i imagine they see regularly.
The owner did inform us that the closest nightclub is up for lease at the end of 09 season and due to close......if this is the case i will without doubut return to the hotel as i feel robbed that i was unable to spend more time there. :(

“nice but noisy”

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely, comfortable rooms, a very pleasant staff and wonderful food. However, unless you are coming to Antalya to frequent the two neighboring discos, AVOID this hotel between June and September when Turkish techno music makes it impossible to sleep from 1 to 4 am. Although the hotel is locked up tight between these hours it is impossible to drown out the noise, the laser lights, or the fighting drunkards outside your window. That being said, I can imagine that this would be an idylic place to stay during the spring and fall.
