“Great value for money!! Fantastic week!!!”

We have just returned from the Gold Safran and we had a lovely time. The staff were really friendly and always helpful but not overly so although it was just myself and 2 children staying there.

The food was amazing...even the children couldn't fault it. Breakfast maybe the only exception to this, but even then there is always cereal and toast if you dont fancy the turkish breakfast.

The pool was clean and snacks were made throughout the day at the poolside. The rooms were big and cleaned daily with the only problem we experieced being noisy guests down the hall on a few nights.

The beach is only 5 minutes away and the bus service to the main centre of Alanya and the castle is cheap and easy to use.

There was limited evening entertainment as it was very end of season but we would still go back for sure!!!!!

as we arrived early in the morning we expected to not have the best welcomming. however despite arriving at 1am we was plesantly greated by the hotel staff. The week couldnt go any better, the food was great yeah it was the same food most days but what do you expect in another country. the rooms were cleaned every morning. Only traveled with my girlfriend however had a room that slept 6 people with a large balcony with air con and room safe. The was plenty to eat and all drinks including coke, fanta, lemonade, fruit juices and local alcoholic drinking included. Despite being in the middle of october there was still entertainment for children. The staff were really friendly couldn't fault them. the hotel was in a perfect location only a few 100m away from the beaches resturants bars and shops. Had a great holiday would recomend to anyone will defo return :).

Hotel overall was clean appropriate and ideal for our trip. I travelled with my partner and another couple and as a whole we loved the whole week. shame about the wether the first few days as it poured down.
Hotel:-
rooms were spacious, cleaned regualy and beds were not to hard either.
Pool:- slide was funny my partner and friends had hours of fun, it was a surprise any children got a go when we were there.
Expect the pray call!!! this is very loud but you can hear this everywhere not just this hotel. it is a must in the town so you just have to appreciate their faith!!!!
Food:- usual all inclusive, expect anything but English as it is a forign country i would expect nothing else. but as a whole always something to eat. (and i am very fussy)
Entertainment:- was okay, you get pestered to join in even when you tell them no they seem to ignore and continue to mither you until you either join in or tell them to go away!!!.
(most days i did join in and enjoyed but days i wanted to relax i got mithered)
in my opinion they stressed me out and when you say no they dont give up, also i would advise you do not go on the ''night out service'' which they charge you for when the ''night club'' is up the road from the hotel and is free to enter on your own. over all they were the main annoyonce of the whole holiday.
Location: ideal for all types of people. The beach is at the top of the road which is just a standard beach nothing special. The lounges you do have to pay for but there is a section infront which is for towels on the floor so if you dont want to pay you can just lay on the floor. The centre of alanya is ten mins in a taxi or take the bus for approx GB-0.30p :-) the hotel is however surrounded by shops and bars so you dont have to go far if you dont want too. everything is on your door step.
Alanya- the centre is quite busy day and night... the shops are very samey samey so do shop around for the best price as we found they vary alot. i bought a bag and purse for 50lire and my friend got asked for 100lire for the purse alone in the shop next door.
The people of Alanya we found were very nice some are over nice but not to much hassel. Not once did I have or see any trouble with the turkish men. I do believe however this was due to being with a man. They were very respectable when you have a male presence and act the same as every other nationality if not nicer. However I did hear stories that girls travelling alone had some sleezy comments and were approached on occassion but again when going shopping with my friend on our own not once did we have a problem. The only time i had any abuse was from a man from portsmouth (england) he was the ruddest man in the whole of turkey who had no respect for women, luckly he left the bar.
Over all lovely town enjoyed the whole week- entertainers were a pain but we just avoided.
dont believe all you read if you want a cheap holiday for good value this does the job!!!!!
definatley would go back to Alanya but maybe stay somewhere else due to entertainers.

Room Tip: higher floors are bigger and quiter

bit dubious after reading everyones miserable reviews but needn't have worried. transfer was smooth n not a ride from hell, hotel was super clean, staff friendly, maid service daily, food available all day and was nice (if u wants fish fingers chips n beans go skegness). entertainment not up to west end standards granted :) pool clean. very nice bar/restaurant called que casa ran by eddy across road to right: good service, good food, Very good cocktails ;) beach 2 mins away. turkish baths are MUCH cheaper elsewhere so worth lookin round x weather was about 29c

Room Tip: rooms facing swimming pool quieter x

“good and the bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

okay, i am a normal 29 year old lad who went on a cheap hol with my mate. we have done a few alinclusive hols before but this has a very mixed bag, the good parts are, the pool was great, spend many an hour throwing myself down the water slide and was kept clean, the rooms were huge, we booked a road side road and it was on the bottom floor, asked to be moved to pool side and they did it straight away, slipped the lad 15lire for a safe inorder to get this but was gonna get a safe anyway, lots of different nationalitys there, brits are the minority, lots of russians, polish, germans but we met a good gang of people and made good friends, nearest bar is just over the road which we went after drinks finished at the pool, this bar stays open till you leave, i manged till 0630 with a group and they werent trying to get rid of you.
now the bad......the breakfast was disgusting, stale chips, powered eggs, and spicy sauages which look like out of a tin,
the bar staff were rude and moaned whenever you ordered a drink (err its your job)
the room keys are all the same on you floor i found out this by accident
the sun goes behing the building at 4-5pm
the turkish bath part of the hotel is in the cellar, it stinks and looks filthy
rubbish entertainment, always pestering you to get on the stage and make an idiot of yourself, even if your in the middle of you meal
its not a 4* its more like a 2*
the private beach is just 4 pegs with some barrier tape with a dozen sunbeds in it, they aint free, the beach bar there was always shut but drinks arent free there either, but you wouldnt want to spend anytime there anyway as the beach was horrible, really dirty and had water run off drains going down them
but the worst part is the actual turkish men, i have 2 fights in 7 days with turkish lads cause they are so disrespectful to girls, met 3 girls from norway and the owner of the restaraunt next door and his waiters threatened my friend and I in a bar for talking to them as they felt they should be with them, even though the girls told them to go away, this attitude hapened eveynight, others at the resort had same trouble, couples walking up the street and lads start feeling up the woman then kick off on the lads
do NOT go as a couple or as single girls
Because of all this trouble, i will never go back to turkey again
, id really rather pay a little more and go greece of spain for a cheapish hol

Room Tip: do go to turkey
