“spectacular!”

This hotel is simply amazing! I loved the rooms (very modern). Even though we didn't have the view on the beach, it was amazing. You just have to make sure, you will get the room on the top floor because we heard some complaints from those living on the first floor. They cleaned our room every day and reffilled the fridge with fresh bottled water (1 bottle per person).

The food was good, plenty of salads, deserts, fruits etc. We could always get juice, beer, coke, coffee, tee or water to drink. There were mornings, when they prepared pancakes right infront of you, which I found very pleasant.

During the day they served some snack in the pool area. It was usually the same (salads, crackers, hamburgers, fries...), but always delicios. The staff was very nice, helpful and always in a good mood. In the entire hotel (even by the pool) was Wi-Fi connection which was for free but by the reception they offered a pc with internet connection for 1€/10 min.

The beach was great, close to the hotel (2 min), very long. There was a shower and bar on the beach. If you wanted to go to toilet, you had to pay the "toilet guy". However, the only problem was the water. It was clean but there were big waves for most of the time, which made it impossible for those who are not very good swimmers to swim or to get in the water deeper than your knees. The water attractions were canceled for 3 days due to the already mentioned waves. If you want to see some "life" in the water, you have to walk to the rocks at the end of the beach (on your left side - if you have the hotel behind you).

During the evening/night you can go for a walk to the port (30 min), which is really beautiful. There are huge clubs and attractive restaurants. There was always something to see or to do. The natives were always trying to sell us their goodies (98% fake) but that was the fun of it. They speak English and little bit of every language. We could pay either by Euro or their currency Turkish Lira.

I found this holiady very pleasant and one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Thumbs up!

“Really good hotel”

We spent a week in Grand Zaman Beach. The hotel was very clean and european standard. It was my third time in Turkey and all the hotels which I was before were rather turkish standard. Grand Zaman is very well located, close to the portside, all the restaurants, clubs and disco. The hotel beach is almost the best Mediterranean Sea beach I've ever been ( Blue Lagoon was more beautiful, but it's a National Park:) ). However I think that the service in a bar on the beach should be included in all inclusive.
What can I say about restaurant, is the fact that food was delicious, and there was a huge variety of dishes- lot od different vegetables, pastas for me as I am a vegetarian. However the service wasn't as good as food. Cookers and waiters didn't speak English at all, and all the dishes were named in Germany and Turkish, no English names:( So sometimes it was very difficult to find out what the dish is made of.
Generally it's a worth going hotel, even for people who don't need entertainment- althought the hotel is situated in the city centre of Alanya, it isn't loudly inside and you can have a rest there.

P.S. Green Canyon isn't a very popular trip in all travel agancies in Alanya, but it's relly worth going! There are beautiful landscapes and the possibility of swimming in a fresh canyon water:)

“Grand Zaman Beach THE BEST”

Enjoyed quite a hot turkish summer in Alanya's number one - Grand Zaman Beach hotel. Everythings was tops - great survice, great food, calm neighbours (German, Dutch and Czech). Quite well-equiped and designed rooms. The restaurant is big enough and food is always waiting for you no matter how many people are in line for it. And yeah - the waiter! Sanchuk his name is (if I got the spelling right) - he does miracles. A young but highly professional and really very funny. You really should see him working - how he gestures, bows, tosses up and spins the glasses without spilling a bit. Great work... and great hotel

“spend your money elsewhere”

This was an average hotel in a dissapointing location located painfully far away from the airport. We went as a couple and booked a double room, as per standard we found the room consisted of two single beds. Not a problem, however, the beds would not stay together without parting. The hotel staff were dismissive when we reported our issue and we ended up having to upgrade to a double bed and having to pay alot more money. The room was average with a noisy air conditioner and the bed uncomfortable. The majority of the residents in the hotel consisted of German people, not an issue unless you want to meet people! If you are travelling to this location you need a decent hotel, the area consists of numerous shops and restaurants serving the same food and the locals on the whole were rude and pushy trying to force their product on you. On the plus side, the hotel was close to a fantastic beach and the food was suprisingly nice, local dishes. Room views? depends what side you stay on, we faced some kind of rubbish disposal machine.
