Long journey to Hotel from the Airport but well worth every minuite. On arrival in the early hours the night staff were out with a hug and a very nice wellcome. We were very tired but still managed to laugh with them as we did from the minuite we arrived to the minuite we had to say goodbye, again lots of hugs and farewells.
Kardelen was very clean and quite basic but was a homely place that was easy to relax and enjoy the hospitality. The garden was tropical and quaint, a couple of kiddies things, bannana trees and other delicious fruit which the staff insisted we eat while in the bar. The fruit was delicious and 100% better and bigger than we were used to. The owner had dogs which were allowed out of their kennel and run area when guests wanted a cuddle or a bit of fun and laughter which each one provided.
The streets down to the beach were being repaired and I,m sure they will be in tip top condition the next time we visit.
We have never gone back to a country twice because the world is a big place with lots to see, the trouble is Kardelen appartments would be very hard to better, so it looks like we are sold on this most wonderfull Hotel and area of Alanya.

the hotel room was basic but well equipt, the rooms are clean and the balconys are great escpecially when you rover the pool. But i have to say our friends Izit, Billal and Keiron are the most fantastic people ever, they're friendly and fun and make you feel at home, it's a bit of a walk to the beach but it's worth it when you get back to the hotel and get greated with such a great reception. And if you've neer been to Alanya I strongly suggest you go and have a peak, the sea is beautifu, the red fort is fantastic and you'll never meet nicer people. Me and my family will definetly be returning this year, but if you don't like boiling weather don't go in peak season, May and October are considerably cooler and you still get that gorgeous tan! The room was very basic. It comes with 3 rooms. A toilet with a shower, english toilet and a sink.A room with a small kitchen area in the corner, a sofa bed and a door off to the balcony.A bedroom which contains two single beds, some drawers and a cupboard. The kitchen is very basic. It is simple but it does the trick. The pool is very nice, especially to cool you down in the intense heat in the summer. There are lots of sunbeds to get a nice suntan too! Air conditioning is a must, but you must pay a little extra for this.The local people in Alanya are very very friendly. The nicest people i have ever met!Some of the shop owners can be a bit too pushy so be warned, but most are really nice. The area isnt too commercialised even though it does have a mcdonalds. It does have a lot of local stores so you can get a taste of the real turkey. The sea is about 800 metres down the road. The beach is very pebbly though, but the sea is nice and warm. There are lots of beaches around Alanya that arent pebbly so this is no problem. There are many nice sites around the Antalya area, many natural and historical things. Near the harbour there are clubs and pubs for the younger generation.I advise that everyone visits Alanya! The Kardelen was a nice place to stay and i would stay again!
