We booked a last minute get away to Elysee gardens in Alanya, all inclusive. as two women travelling alone we were treated like fresh bait by the bar men in the hotel! Which we found to be quite a pain, although some were just generally friendly, with others offering more than they should have been! our holiday didn,t get off to a flying start as our transfer company picked us up from air port and then left us at the wrong hotelat 4am! beware there are 4 Elysee hotels in alanya.
the food in the hotel was VERY basic with breakfast being the worst meal of the day, unless you like cucumber, carrot or olives in the morning! Not even a toaster in sight and we did notice the waiters taking unused bread off guests finished plates and putting back on buffet for some one else to eat! There is however a bakery 200 yrds down rd on right hand side which is exceptionally cheap and sells fresh pastries.
The entertainment was the worst I have ever seen.. to be fair it was so bad it was hilarious!
The all inclusive drinks are VERY limimted to Vodka, Gin, whiskey, Raki, beer and soft anything else you have to pay for.
The beach is about a 10/15 minute walk and it,s well worth it, stunning scenery. 2 sunbeds and umbrella on beach is about £6 for the day.
All in all you get what you pay for, we were however told several times that we were the only english to have stayed in the hotel for 3 years! It is really geared for the Dutsch.
Rooms were spacious and clean, Pool area ok, exceptionally slippy though and I would be concerned with small children on the beach as the sea dips very quickly and has lots of big waves, good fun however for us!
Cheap hotel but we did have to eat out also as food was not great!
